A method for evaluating a print quality of a printed document that is printed by a printer is provided. The printer comprises a pre-print image scanner, a post-print image scanner, and a printhead disposed between the pre-print image scanner and the post-print image scanner. The method comprises generating a pre-printing image of a print media, generating the printed document, generating a post-printing image of the printed document, generating a validation image by comparing the post-printing image with the pre-printing image, and comparing the validation image with the source image.

A first cloud print service has a storage unit that stores a print job received from a client terminal to a first storage region and a first transmission unit that transmits information on the print job to a second cloud print service, a second cloud print service has a second transmission unit that transmits, to an image forming apparatus, the information on the print job transmitted by the first transmission unit, and the image forming apparatus has an input unit that inputs an instruction of performing printing of the print job based on the information on print job transmitted by the second transmission unit and a first printing process unit that receives the print job from the first cloud print service and performs a printing process of the print job when the image forming apparatus is registered in the first cloud print service.

The disclosure discloses methods and systems for keyword-based printing. The method includes receiving a request for printing a document from a user. Upon receiving the request, a user interface including a keyword-based printing option is provided to the user. The keyword-based printing option allows the user to input one or more keywords. Based on the one or more input keywords, one or more pages from the document having the one or more matching keywords are identified. The pages identified to include the one or more keywords are excluded and the remaining pages of the document are printed.

A printer includes: a printer storage unit storing a sub hot folder that is given a folder name including a keyword corresponding to a print condition and is thus associated with the print condition; and a printer control unit preparing the sub hot folder and causing the printer storage unit to store the prepared sub hot folder. The printer control unit accepts an input of the folder name, and prepares the sub hot folder given the accepted folder name and causes the printer storage unit to store the sub hot folder when the sub hot folder associated with the same print condition as the print condition corresponding to the keyword included in the accepted folder name is not stored in the printer storage unit.

An example communication device includes a camera to detect media. A processor is to link the detected media with a stored version of the detected media in a database. The processor is to instruct a printing device associated with a remote device to output a hardcopy of the stored version of the detected media.

A non-transitory computer readable information recording medium stores a program therein. The program when executed by one or more processors causes an operation terminal to perform determining, based on information that the operation terminal obtains from the outside in response to an operation performed on the operation terminal, an electronic apparatus from among a plurality of electronic apparatuses connected to the operation terminal, the electronic apparatus being one which is to output electronic data stored in an information storage apparatus connected to the operation terminal; obtaining, from the information storage apparatus, electronic data from among a plurality of sets of electronic data stored in the information storage apparatus in a format that the determined electronic apparatus is capable of outputting; and transmitting the obtained electronic data to the determined electronic apparatus.

A printing system including a server connected to a first information processing apparatus and a second information processing apparatus via a network includes a reception unit configured to receive a request to print a file from the second information processing apparatus and a determination unit configured to determine whether a user associated with the second information processing apparatus has a right to print the file, wherein the printing system transmits a first notification for requesting a confirmation about whether to grant the right to the first information processing apparatus in a case where the determination unit determines that the user does not have the right, and wherein the printing system permits the file to be printed from a printing apparatus connected to the server in a case where a confirmation to grant the right is received from the first information processing apparatus as a response to the first notification.

The generation unit generates first correction data based on an input recording job and image data and a first adjustment value indicating a conveyance position, in the first direction, of a recording medium from the first holding unit, and generates second correction data based on the recording job and the image data and a second adjustment value indicating a conveyance position, in the first direction, of a recording medium from the second holding unit. The recording unit records an image on the first holding unit recording medium based on the first correction data, and records an image on the second holding unit recording medium based on the second correction data.
