A printer includes a controller, a memory, and a user interface. The printer has a first mode and a second mode. The controller disables the first mode when enabling the second mode and disables the second mode when enabling the first mode. The controller executes a first printing process while the first mode is enabled. In the first printing process, the controller receives a print job from a client device, stores the received print job in the memory, and performs printing based on the stored print job upon receiving a storage print command. The controller executes a second printing process and restricts the first printing process while the second mode is enabled. In the second printing process, the controller receives a print job from a server in response to receiving a prescribed input operation via the user interface, and performs printing based on the received print job from the server.

A method is provided that includes receiving, at a hot folder that processes print job files according to default print instructions associated with the hot folder, a submitted file selected from (a) a submitted print job file or (b) a submitted print ticket, where the submitted print ticket includes at least one submitted print instruction. The method further includes starting a delay timer upon receiving the submitted file, waiting to process the submitted file until the delay timer has expired, and, upon expiration of the delay timer, processing the submitted file. Also described are a non-transitory computer-readable medium and a printing device.

An image forming apparatus includes a processor configured to: allow execution of printing using registered print information, the registered print information being allowed to be applied to a print job for performing printing, the registered print information being allowed to be recorded in image forming apparatuses individually, and receive an operation for executing a print job, the print job being a job to which the registered print information is applied; when the registered print information is recorded in the image forming apparatus, the registered print information being applied to the print job for which the operation for execution is received, perform printing in the image forming apparatus by using the registered print information; and, when the registered print information is not recorded in the image forming apparatus, the registered print information being applied to the print job for which the operation for execution is received, perform printing by using the registered print information received from at least one different image forming apparatus, the at least one different image forming apparatus recording the registered print information.

A multifunctional peripheral (1) includes a communication part (22), a storage part (21), a free space determination part (25), a confidential document determination part (26), and a storage processing part (27). The free space determination part (25) determines that the storage part (21) contains a free space for storing print data, as a first storage condition. The confidential document determination part (26) determines that the print data is not a confidential document, as a second storage condition. The storage processing part (27) stores the print data in the storage part (21) in association with user information of a user terminal (23) when the first storage condition and the second storage condition are satisfied, and communicates with the user terminal (23) and stores the print data in the user terminal (23) when the first storage condition is not satisfied or when the second storage condition is not satisfied.

An image processing system includes an information processing apparatus and an image forming apparatus. A first controller of the information processing apparatus transmits a print job, a setting instruction, and a plurality of mail addresses, to the image forming apparatus, upon receipt of a private print mode setting instruction through an operation device. A second controller of the image forming apparatus sets the private print mode, upon receipt of the print job, the setting instruction, and the plurality of mail addresses, generates a second print approval code, transmits the second print approval code to each of the plurality of mail addresses, and executes the print job, when the first print approval code is received via an input device, and the first print approval code and the second print approval code accord with each other, by causing the image forming device to form the image on the recording medium.

A terminal device may receive print condition related information being related to an actual print condition from a printer, and register, in a print intermediation server, by using the print condition related information, printer related information including actual print condition information indicating the actual print condition. The terminal device may control a display unit to display a selection screen by using the actual print condition information in a case where file related information related to a target file is to be registered in the print intermediation server after the printer related information was registered in the print intermediation server. The selection screen may cause a user to select a print setting from among the actual print condition. The terminal device may register the file related information and print setting information in association with the printer related information in the print intermediation server.

A printing system includes a printing mechanism. The printing mechanism is configured to perform printing. The printing system stores a plurality of print jobs in a storage, and receives selections of two or more print jobs to be executed as two or more target jobs from among the plurality of print jobs stored in the storage. The printing system determines a total fee to be charged for executing the two or more target jobs, and performs a settlement related process related to settlement of the determined total fee. The printing system executes the two or more target jobs to print images by using the printing mechanism in response to completion of settlement of the total fee.

A printing system includes a printing device and a data processing server. The printing device includes a first controller. The data processing server includes a second controller. The first controller acquires a print job from an external device and transmits the print job to the server. The second controller receives the print job and stores the print job in a server memory. The first controller receives designation of the print job subject to printing and transmits a print request for printing the print job subject to printing to the server. After a fee payment approval to approve a payment for execution of the designated print job is transmitted, the second controller transmits to the printing device the print job. The first controller receives the print job and performs printing the print job on a print medium by controlling a printing member.

An information processing apparatus includes: a processor configured to: when performing control of outputting a file from a storage unit in accordance with a request from a using user, issue second identification information to the using user, the file having been stored by a registering user in the storage unit, the file being associated with first identification information for identifying the file, the second identification information to be used for recording information related to use of the file; and upon receipt of the second identification information from the using user, perform control of recording the information related to the use of the file.

Embodiments disclosed include systems and methods for computer automated print services control comprising authenticating a user credential input via a user device. The system and method includes generating, by a printer driver comprised in the user device, a user interface comprising features supported by a plurality of printing devices. Further, it includes receiving via the user device over the network, a print instruction comprising the features supported by the plurality of printing devices connected to the computer system over the network. And based on the print instruction, generating a print job in an embodiment. Further, based on the user authentication at one of the plurality of printing devices, converting via a gateway, the received print instruction into a format compatible with that printing device and releasing the generated print job for printing at that printing device, according to an embodiment.
