A resource service system is one of a plurality of resource service systems each capable of communicating with a reception service system that receives data from a plurality of clients. The resource service system acquires data from a first queue that receives and stores data transmitted from the reception service system, and processes the acquired data. In a case where it is determined a number of pieces of data of a predetermined client transmitted from the reception service system per unit time exceeds a first predetermined number, the resource service system sets a first setting for preventing the reception service system from transmitting the data of the predetermined client to the first queue.

Provided is a client device configured to communicate with a server via a network, the client device comprising: one or more memories; and one or more processors that execute a set of instructions to: acquire counter information which is totaled according to performing a job by the client device and is stored in the one or more memories; determine whether the client device has been performed at least one job during acquiring the counter information; reacquire counter information in a case where it is determined that the client device has been performed at least one job during acquiring the counter information; and transmit the reacquired counter information to the server.

Disclosed herein is a method and a printer driver unit for printing variable copies of a plurality of pages in a document. In an embodiment, a user input comprising a number of copies of the plurality of pages to be printed is received from a user. Further, the user input is parsed to determine the plurality of pages to be printed and the number of copies that each of the plurality of pages to be printed. Thereafter, the content of each of the plurality of pages is retrieved from a temporary file or a memory associated with the printer driver unit and printed with the help of a printer device. Accordingly, the present disclosure allows users to print variable copies of plurality of pages on a single print action, and thereby enhances speed of printing and ensures optimal usage of resources.

An image forming apparatus is provided that includes mechanisms for registering strings, extracting text information from received job data, determining a job availability of the received job data based on a comparison of the extracted text information with the registered strings, associating a result of the determination of job availability with the received job data and storing the result of the determination of job availability and the received job data; and controlling an execution of the received job data based on the result of the determination of job availability, in response to receiving an execution instruction of the received job data.

An example pull-print server may include a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory may include a receiving unit to receive a print job including variable print data, a reference identifier, and a passcode specific to the print job. Further, the memory may include a mapping unit to identify a template corresponding to the reference identifier and store mapping information that maps the variable print data and the passcode to the identified template. Furthermore, the memory may include a controller to receive, via a printer, a pull print request including the passcode. In response to receiving the pull print request, the controller may retrieve the variable print data and the stored template corresponding to the passcode using the mapping information. Further, the controller may generate print content by overlaying the variable print data onto the identified template and transmit the print content to the printer.

A printing system includes a plurality of image forming apparatuses capable of mutually communicating with a portable terminal device and a client terminal device. The client terminal device generates a print job that includes print data and job information. The portable terminal device stores job information transmitted from the client terminal device. The image forming apparatus acquires the job information from the portable terminal device, acquires the print data corresponding to the job information from the client terminal device, and execute image output the print data.

An image forming apparatus includes a setting unit, a displaying unit, a receiving unit, and a printing unit. The setting unit accepts designation of source information from a user and set the accepted source information in association with an object. The displaying unit displays the object. The receiving unit receives image data from an external apparatus. The printing unit prints an image on a sheet based on the image data received by the receiving unit. An apparatus and method for performing authentication using biometric authentication processing at a portable terminal connected to a multifunction peripheral (MFP) is provided. A web application accesses the portable terminal via a web browser of the MFP and the MFP transmits a request for information about service to the portable terminal. In a case where information corresponding to the web application is included in the information about service received from the portable terminal responsive to the request, the MFP transmits an authentication request to the portable terminal according to a request from the web application, and transmits, to the web application, an authentication result received from the portable terminal responsive to the authentication request.

A control method of a printing apparatus for acquiring a print job from a cloud print service, and performing printing based on the acquired print job includes transmitting, in a case where a notification received from the cloud print service includes information indicating that a fetchable print job exists, a first request related to the print job, to the cloud print service, executing login processing of causing a user to log into the printing apparatus, and transmitting a second request related to the print job, to the cloud print service conditional upon the login processing being performed.

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a system is described. The system includes an outsourcing engine to select a contracting print device to which a print job is to be outsourced. A recipe generating engine of the system generates a recipe for a print job. The recipe includes 1) settings for the print job and 2) settings for the contracting print device that is to generate the print job. The system also includes an encoder to encrypt the recipe and an exception processor to respond to requests from the contracting print device to deviate from the recipe.
