A determination unit is configured to determine a type of the recording material, based on the detected characteristic value and a determination rule for determining a type of a recording material. A control unit is configured to control an image forming condition for performing image formation onto the recording material in accordance with the determined type of the recording material. A collection unit is configured to collect an operation history of the image forming apparatus. An adjustment unit is configured to adjust the determination rule used by the determination unit based on the collected operation history.

A method, a non-transitory computer readable medium, and a system are disclosed for processing and scheduling print jobs on a plurality of printers. The method includes: collecting job information on one or more past print jobs; collecting job information on a plurality of print jobs currently being processed, each of the plurality of print jobs being assigned to one or more operators from a plurality of operators; generating a process workflow visualization for the plurality of print jobs currently being processed with a processing mining algorithm based on the job information collected on the one or more past print jobs and the job information collected on the plurality of print jobs currently being processed; and displaying the process workflow visualization for the plurality of print jobs currently being processed.

An image processing apparatus includes: a receiver that communicates with a terminal device, and receives, from the terminal device, destination information including group information; a selector that selects, in a case where a selected group history indicating that the group information is selected in the past is stored in a storage, one piece of group information from among the group information included in the destination information, based on the selected group history; and a screen displayer that performs control of displaying, on a displayer, destination information including the one piece of group information selected by the selector.

An information processing apparatus includes a display, a storage, and a controller. The controller displays either an execution screen that accepts an execution command of a job or a simple execution screen whose displayed contents are simplified from those of the execution screen, on the display. The storage stores history information related to the job which was instructed to be executed through either the execution screen or the simple execution screen. A print system includes a print device and an information processor connected to the print device via a network. An image forming device that collects usage data regarding the usage status of a user and sends the usage data to a server, the image forming device includes: a first hardware processor that receives a print job; a printer that performs printing based on the print job; a second hardware processor that determines whether or not a user who sent the print job is a target user of consent confirmation processing regarding collection of the usage data; a display that displays various display screens; and a third hardware processor that pauses printing based on the print job and performs the consent confirmation processing to cause the display to display a consent confirmation screen, when the second hardware processor determines that the user is a target user of the consent confirmation processing.

Examples described herein relate to a system consistent with the disclosure. For instance, the system may comprise a printing device including hardware to adjust a velocity of a development unit within the printing device, a memory resource, and a controller in communication with the memory resource to determine an average usage condition of the printing device, wherein the average usage condition is based on at least one of a print coverage and a quantity of pages printed by the printing device, and adjust a velocity of the development unit based on the average usage condition.

A printing system for processing entries in a distributed ledger manages documents or transactions based on printing or scanning operations. A computing platform within the system receives a first entry having a variable set of data. The computing platform determines a partial chain hash of the first entry using the variable set of data. The computing platform generates at least one additional entry having at least one additional variable set of data. The computing platform updates the partial chain hash with the at least one additional variable set of data of the at least one additional entry. The computing platform generates a block having a block header for a blockchain using the partial chain hash when a condition is met. The block includes transactions or documents to be printed at a printing device using the distributed ledger.
