System, method, and software of providing a printing service. In one embodiment, a printing system comprises a cloud printing service that stores device capability information for different types of printers supervised by a print server. The cloud printing service receives a print job, identifies a plurality of the printers that are capable of printing the print job based on the device capability information, and transforms printable content and control data of the print job into a plurality of printer-specific print streams. Each of the printer-specific print streams is in a printable output format for one of the plurality of the printers. The cloud printing service provides one or more of the printer-specific print streams to the print server.

An image forming apparatus includes a processor configured to command a second image forming apparatus, if the second image forming apparatus exists, to stop printing a second document related to a first document when a stoppage of printing of the first document is received, the second image forming apparatus being responsible for printing the second document.

An image forming apparatus includes a processor configured to: obtain print information including a setting of a predetermined specific page and predetermined verification information, the predetermined specific page being indicated by print data which is to be subjected to printing processing; convert the print data into image data in a printable format for each output page; embed the predetermined verification information into the image data of an output page including the predetermined specific page; request a user to provide the verification information so as to obtain the verification information when printing the output page with the embedded verification information; and execute printing processing if the embedded verification information and the obtained verification information match each other.

The system according to the present disclosure includes a cloud print service (CPS) connected to a client terminal via a network, and a CPS connected to an image forming apparatus through a network. The CPS receives a job executed by the image forming apparatus from the client terminal, and transmits the job to the CPS. The CPS receives a job transmitted from the CPS, issues a job code for the job, and transmits the job code to the CPS. The CPS receives the job code issued by the CPS, and notifies the client terminal of the job code.

When a general-use printing program receives a print instruction to cause a printer to execute printing of an image, a supporting program obtains status information of the printer from the printer and determines, based on the status information, whether a display condition is satisfied. The display condition is a condition to display a message based on the status information. When it is determined that the display condition is satisfied, the supporting program display the massage on a UI of a PC.

A system for securely producing and using high-entropy security information, such as a password. The system includes a printer, a display device, and a generator computer that is connected to the printer and the display device. The generator computer generates the high-entropy set of characters, (e.g., password), and also generates a machine-readable representation of the high-entropy set of characters, (e.g., a barcode). The generator computer causes the printer to print the high-entropy set of characters and the machine-readable representation on paper, and then deletes the high-entropy set of characters and the machine-readable representation from the system. The high-entropy set of characters, (e.g., password), may be entered into a target computer by scanning the barcode on the paper using a barcode scanner connected to the target computer, which is significantly faster than, and eliminates the human error associated with, typing in a high-entropy set of characters.

A management apparatus obtains a print job. When setting for performing printing as being divided into test printing and main printing has been made for the print job, the management apparatus shows on a display, an image showing a condition of execution of a test print job and an image showing a condition of execution of the main print job.

Systems and methods for 3D printer management can verify the printing of a 3D object based on instructions inserted into the 3D object file that cause the 3D printer to perform extra actions, thus emitting certain sounds while printing. In one example, a print server can receive a request to print a 3D object. The print server can insert snippets of instructions at random into the 3D object file. A recording device can record audio of the 3D printer printing the 3D object. The recording device can send the audio to the print server. The print server can verify that the audio emitted by the 3D printer while printing the 3D object match up with the snippets inserted into the 3D object file.

Techniques are described for electronic content delivery. One method includes receiving information associated with the prescription order of a user account. In some cases, the information associated with the prescription order includes a medication identifier. The method may include performing a search using the medication identifier to obtain electronic medication documentation. The method may also include transmitting a sponsored content request that includes the medication identifier and receiving sponsored content information responsive to the sponsored content request. The method may further include determining that the user account has authorized communication via a user device and transmitting the electronic medication documentation and/or sponsored content information to the user device. In some examples, the method may include transmitting an indication that the electronic medication documentation and/or sponsored content information was transmitted to the user device.
