In one embodiment, a printing system comprises a cloud printing service that stores device capability information for different types of printers supervised by a print server. The cloud printing service receives a print job, identifies a plurality of the printers that are capable of printing the print job based on the device capability information, and transforms printable content and control data of the print job into a plurality of printer-specific print streams. Each of the printer-specific print streams is in a printable output format for one of the plurality of the printers. The cloud printing service provides one or more of the printer-specific print streams to the print server.

Printing apparatus includes a controller is configured to executes holding selection processing of allowing holding in a storage device or deletion from the storage device of a storage of a print job selected by a print job selection processing to be selected by a user's input operation received via the user interface. The print job for which holding of the storage of the print job is selected is stored in the storage device in association with a holding flag. A printing apparatus includes a reception unit configured to receive a print job, and an execution unit configured to execute printing of the print job received by the reception unit. The execution unit has a function of, in a case where a setting time or more elapses with a particular cause preventing the printing of the print job not being removed, canceling the printing of the print job. The execution unit has a function of canceling printing of a new print job received by the reception unit in a state where the setting time or more elapses with the particular cause not being removed.

A method of controlling an information processing apparatus includes transmitting a first job to a job processing apparatus, executing first control for holding the first job in a job queue that the information processing apparatus has in a state where processing based on the first job is executed in the job processing apparatus, and executing second control for terminating holding of the first job by the job queue based on a fact that a second job is registered in the job queue in a state where the first job is held in the job queue even in a case where the processing based on the first job is executed in the job processing apparatus.

The storage portion stores information transmitted from the server. The user identification portion identifies the user that is logging in. The work hours determination portion determines whether the date and time of login is within work hours. The end time determination portion determines whether the current time is after the work end time. The deletion portion deletes information corresponding to the user from the storage portion when the current time is after the work end time.
