A server includes circuitry to: receive selection of particular file information from a list of file information; acquire a particular electronic file from a storage location indicated by the particular file information, the particular electronic file being one or more electronic files; extract data of one or more pages to be output from the particular electronic file according to the particular file information; and transmit the data of one or more pages of the particular electronic file to an output device to cause the output device to output the data of one or more pages of the particular electronic file.

An approach provides access to cloud services that are impractical or difficult to implement on end-user devices without a high level of programming skill and customization. The approach uses a first set of cloud services, referred to herein as Integrated Cloud Environment (ICE) cloud services, to access to a second set of cloud services, referred to herein as Smart Integration (SI) cloud services, on end-user devices. The ICE cloud services provide a user-friendly user interface for accessing the SI cloud services via an end-user device, implement the Application Program Interfaces (APIs) of the SI cloud services, and also manage results generated by the SI cloud services. The ICE cloud services also manage user information, authorization credentials and tokens needed to access third-party services. According to another embodiment, the SI cloud and the ICE cloud are integrated using direct linking, i.e., directly linking an end-user device to the SI cloud.

The communication device may set an operation mode of the communication device to a first mode in a case where it is determined that the communication device is in the proxy environment, the first mode being for repeatedly sending a polling signal to the specific server so as to receive target data from the specific server. In the context of an apparatus, a printer is provided comprising communications circuitry configured to facilitate communications with a network; and processing circuitry configured to transmit a connection request to the network; receive requested connection parameters from the network; transmit printer connection parameters to the network; and establish a first secure connection between the printer and the network. The printer comprising processing circuitry further configured to receive requested connection parameters comprising at least a signed security certificate and a DNS name for a server on the network and to verify the signed security certificate and the DNS name for the server. The printer comprising processing circuitry further configured to transmit printer connection parameters comprising at least a signed security certificate for the printer.

The illustrative embodiments described herein provide systems and methods for notifying a user when a set of characters are identified in a media file. In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a set of characters inputted by the user of a computing device, playing the media file, transcribing the media file to form a transcription, and determining whether the transcription of the media file includes the set of characters. The method also includes initiating a notification prompt on a graphical user interface of the computing device in response to determining that the media file includes the set of characters.

The present invention discloses a restaurant-based point of sales system. The restaurant-based point of sales system mainly comprises a cloud-based point of sales system, a cloud-based print service system and a hybrid-cloud application. Here, the cloud-based point of sales system is configured to record an order whenever a diner orders food at a restaurant. The cloud-based print service system is configured to generate one or more print orders based on the recorded diner orders. The hybrid-cloud application is installed on an end user device implemented in a restaurant to communicate with a cloud-based print service system to facilitate remote printing in parallel for every transaction. The hybrid-cloud application maintains routing rules to check one or more printers available on the local network and to print invoice/bill, one or more items at different printers in one or more kitchen stations in parallel for every transaction.

An image forming apparatus includes a registration unit configured to register setting values of a plurality of setting items including a predetermined setting item and a identifier in association with each other, a transmission unit configured to transmit the identifier to an information processing apparatus, a reception unit configured to receive print data from the information processing apparatus and a control unit configured to execute processing based on the print data, wherein the information processing apparatus displays a print setting screen where the identifier can be selected and where the setting value of the predetermined setting item cannot be set, and based on selection of the identifier, the information processing apparatus displays a print setting screen where the setting value of the predetermined setting item can be set, and wherein the transmission unit transmits information indicating a setting value that can be set for the predetermined setting item.

Provided is a controlling method of an information processing apparatus provided with an extension application program for extending a function of print data creation software to create print data, the controlling method including: displaying a print setting screen by using the extension application program; and performing control such that a prescribed print setting item being displayable by the extension application program based on predetermined information based on information obtained from a printing apparatus by the print data creation software is not displayed on the print setting screen to be displayed by the extension application program.

Provided are a monitoring system, a monitoring method, and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a monitoring program whereby it is possible to improve the stability of remote management of an image forming device by means of a remote management system. A monitoring system according to one embodiment is characterized by: acquiring information from a remote management system which remotely manages an image forming device; detecting a failure of the remote management system by analyzing the acquired information; and notifying about the failure of the remote management system which has been detected.

An image forming apparatus is provided. The image forming apparatus includes a printing engine, memory to store information indicating correspondences of a plurality of file types and uniform resource identifier (URI) addresses of rendering subjects to render printing data of each file type of the plurality of file types in correspondence to each of a plurality of external apparatuses, a communication device to receive a file by a direct printing function method from an external apparatus, and a processor to identify the type of the received file, determine a URI address corresponding to the identified file type and the external apparatus, according to the information indicating correspondences, control the communication device to transmit the received file to the determined URI address, and receive, from the determined URI address, rendered data corresponding to the file.
