Insoluble and dispersible protein and dye-containing particles for use as colorants
Colorant particles made from an insoluble protein-based substrate to which a dye is adsorbed are disclosed. The colorant particles are highly dispersible onto solid surfaces or within liquid systems, and thus can be used as substitutes for the alumina-based lake particles that are conventionally used as colorants in consumer products, such as food or beverage products, cosmetic products, pharmaceutical products, nutraceutical products, or toys.

Residual soy flour sugars as crosslinkers for enhancing mechanical performance of protein fibers
Disclosed is a method of crosslinking protein fibers, including wool fibers, by (i) providing a crosslinking agent including an oxidized sugar mixture having a plurality of different oxidized sugars of different molecular lengths and having at least two aldehyde groups (e.g., oxidized soy flour sugars); and (ii) infiltrating a plurality of non-crosslinked protein fibers with the crosslinking agent under conditions effective to cause protein molecules contained in the non-crosslinked protein fibers to become crosslinked. This method yields a population of crosslinked protein fibers, where the protein molecules of the non-crosslinked protein fibers include amine groups that react with the aldehyde groups of the oxidized sugars to achieve the crosslinking of the protein molecules to yield the crosslinked protein fibers.
Cannabinoid enriched personal lubricant
A composition and methods for lubricating mucous membranes including reproductive tissue with a topical lubricant and at least one cannabinoid. Cannabis and cannabinoids are solubilized and combined with water-based personal lubricants.

Cosmetic composition and its use, dermocosmetic formulation
The present invention relates to dermocosmetic formulations for use in combating skin aging, especially photoaging. The present invention promotes the increase of the synthesis of collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans (GAG), in addition to significantly increase the activity of the superoxide dismutase enzyme (SOD) and the cell proliferation.
GEL COMPOSITION WITH HIGH OIL CONTENT, THE PREPARATION METHOD AND THE USE OF THE SAME
It relates to a cosmetic composition in the form of a transparent or semi-transparent gel, comprising (a) an oil phase; (b) a surfactant portion comprising a first non-ionic surfactant and a second non-ionic surfactant; (c) an aqueous phase; and (d) at least one C.sub.2-C.sub.6 polyol; wherein the first nonionic surfactant comprises at least one alkyl polyglucoside and the second nonionic surfactant comprises at least one having the following general formula (I) or (II): R(X).sub.nOR′ (I) wherein, R represents a linear or branched C.sub.8-C.sub.30 alkyl group or C.sub.8-C.sub.30 alkenyl group; X represents —OCH.sub.2CH.sub.2— or —OCH.sub.2—CHCH.sub.3—; n represents an integer from 2 to 100; and R′ represents H, or a linear or branched C.sub.8-C.sub.30 alkyl group or C.sub.8-C.sub.30 alkenyl group; (II) wherein, the sum of x+y+z represents an integer from 2 to 100; and R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3, are the same or different and are each independently represents OH, or a linear or branched C.sub.8-C.sub.30 fatty acid ester group, with the proviso that at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is not OH. It also relates to a method for preparing the cosmetic composition and the use thereof. The cosmetic composition has high oil content, superior stability and desirable cleansing efficacy.
