COMPOSITIONS FOR SHAPING OR ALTERING THE SHAPE OF HAIR
Disclosed herein is an agent for shaping or altering the shape of hair, such as by straightening or relaxing hair, the agent comprising: A. a hair treatment composition containing an alkaline material selected from a hydroxide-containing compound and a carbonate compound; a cationic polymer selected from a quaternary diammonium polycondensate; an amphoteric polymer selected from a quaternary ammonium compound; an organic solvent, and water; and optionally, B. an activator component; wherein the pH of the composition is equal to or greater than 12 and wherein the weight ratio of (b) to (c) ranges from about 1 up to about 3.
COMPOSITION COMPRISING POLYMER PARTICLES, A HYDROCARBON-BASED OIL AND A HYDROCARBON-BASED BLOCK COPOLYMER, AND PROCESS USING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a composition comprising particles of at least one polymer that is surface-stabilized with a stabilizer, the polymer of the particles being a C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl (meth)acrylate polymer; the stabilizer being an isobornyl (meth)acrylate polymer chosen from isobornyl (meth)acrylate homopolymer and statistical copolymers of isobornyl (meth)acrylate and of C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl (meth)acrylate present in an isobornyl (meth)acrylate/C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl (meth)acrylate weight ratio of greater than 4, at least one hydrocarbon-based oil and at least one amorphous hydrocarbon-based block copolymer obtained by polymerization of at least one monomer of unsaturated hydrocarbon type comprising 2 to 5 carbon atoms and containing one or two ethylenic unsaturations. The invention also relates to a process for making up and/or caring for keratin materials, in which said composition is applied.
COMPOSITION COMPRISING POLYMER PARTICLES, A HYDROCARBON-BASED OIL AND A HYDROCARBON-BASED BLOCK COPOLYMER, AND PROCESS USING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a composition comprising particles of at least one polymer that is surface-stabilized with a stabilizer, the polymer of the particles being a C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl (meth)acrylate polymer; the stabilizer being an isobornyl (meth)acrylate polymer chosen from isobornyl (meth)acrylate homopolymer and statistical copolymers of isobornyl (meth)acrylate and of C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl (meth)acrylate present in an isobornyl (meth)acrylate/C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl (meth)acrylate weight ratio of greater than 4, at least one hydrocarbon-based oil and at least one amorphous hydrocarbon-based block copolymer obtained by polymerization of at least one monomer of unsaturated hydrocarbon type comprising 2 to 5 carbon atoms and containing one or two ethylenic unsaturations. The invention also relates to a process for making up and/or caring for keratin materials, in which said composition is applied.
AMPHIPHILIC POLYMER
The present application relates to an amphiphilic polymer and a method of preparing the same.
Furthermore, the present application relates to a micelle including a drug encapsulated by the amphiphilic polymer and a composition including the same.
The amphiphilic polymer according to the present application has excellent drug encapsulation properties as well as good dispersion properties in an aqueous solution.
Make-up composition
A make-up composition is for the skin, is prepared by a process and used in a makeup method. The cosmetic composition is intended for making up the skin. The composition has from 75 to 98% by weight of a powder or a mixture of powders, as well as at least one cosmetically acceptable fatty phase having at least one oil. The composition additionally includes a block copolymer of at least one styrene polymer and of at least one olefin polymer, the olefin being other than styrene, or a mixture of these block copolymers.
Make-up composition
A make-up composition is for the skin, is prepared by a process and used in a makeup method. The cosmetic composition is intended for making up the skin. The composition has from 75 to 98% by weight of a powder or a mixture of powders, as well as at least one cosmetically acceptable fatty phase having at least one oil. The composition additionally includes a block copolymer of at least one styrene polymer and of at least one olefin polymer, the olefin being other than styrene, or a mixture of these block copolymers.
Oral Care Compositions
Disclosed herein are oral care compositions useful for whitening teeth. The oral care composition may comprise a peroxide source present in an amount to provide from about 0.01 to about 1 wt.% peroxide; a base in an amount up to about 5 wt.%; benzyl alcohol present in an amount from about 0.2 to about 1 wt.%, wherein the oral care composition has a pH of about 8 to about 12 and all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the oral care composition. Methods of making and using the oral care compositions are also provided.
LONG-WEAR COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING ACID-FUNCTIONAL SILICONE ELASTOMER AND BLOCK COPOLYMER
Compositions including at least one acid-functional silicone elastomer and at least one block copolymer, as well as methods of making such compositions and methods of applying such compositions to keratinous material are provided.

Compositions including at least one acid-functional silicone elastomer and at least one block copolymer, as well as methods of making such compositions and methods of applying such compositions to keratinous material are provided.
Oral Care Composition
Provided herein is an oral care composition comprising an antioxidant and a surfactant system, wherein the surfactant system comprises sodium methyl cocoyl taurate in an amount of from 0.7 weight % to 1.2 weight % by total weight of the composition and optionally, a poloxamer in an amount of from 0.4 to 1.2 weight % by total weight of the composition. The composition is useful for preventing or treating periodontal disease.
