A hot wax composition useful in removing hair from skin contains an effective amount of a thermally activated pigment which causes the composition to change color when it is heated sufficiently for use in hair removal and then change color again when the composition has cooled enough to be removed.

A cosmetic composition for temporarily shaping hair includes, in a cosmetically acceptable supportrespectively with respect to the total weight of the composition e) from about 0.5% to about 8% by weight of a wax with a melting point of more than about 37 C., f) from about 0.5% to about 5% by weight of a fatty alcohol, g) from about 0.2% to about 2% by weight of a vinylpyrrolidone-containing polymer or copolymer, and h) from about 0.1% to about 10% by weight of composite powder comprising (A) powdered particles of a silicone elastomer, and (B) particles of silicon dioxide, wherein the particles of silicon dioxide (B) are immobilized on the surface of the powdered particles of the silicone elastomer (A).

Described herein are rinse-off hair conditioner compositions with high deposition properties for cationically coated microcapsules. The compositions contain limited amounts of quaternary ammonium salts that are replaced by at least one non-quaternized conditioning ingredient to provide a high deposition of microcapsules onto a surface.

A lip balm applicator product comprises upper and lower portions that are connectable together to define the applicator product being of a substantially spherical shape. A support platform is located in the lower portion and accommodates a quantity of lip balm having an arcuate surface. A lip balm comprises a composition of waxes and oils in solid form and formed to have an arcuate surface. The composition is formed to have the arcuate surface using a hot pour process. A method of manufacturing a lip balm comprises providing a receptacle having a concave arcuate surface. A lip balm material in a heated, liquefied phase is poured into the receptacle. Once poured, the heated, liquefied phase is allowed to solidify such that a surface of the solidified lip balm material has an arcuate configuration that corresponds to the concave arcuate surface of the receptacle.

The present invention relates to an anhydrous colored cosmetic powder comprising at least one natural or synthetic silicate and at least one dye. During its preparation, such a powder may have contacted an aqueous phase which has subsequently been dried and is not present in its final state. The present invention also relates to a cosmetic composition comprising an aqueous phase and a non-aqueous phase comprising at least one colored powder portion, where the colored powder portion comprises at least one natural or synthetic silicate and at least one dye.

The Healing Gel is a thick lotion for moisturizing dry skin comprised of mainly natural ingredients. The lotion is comprised of avocado oil, glycerin, polyglycerol-3 beeswax (available commercially as Cera Bellina Wax), sodium hyaluronate dispersed in hydrogenated castor oil and castor seed oil (available commercially as Oleo HA), a preservative (preferably a Geogard Preservative), Mica, and fragrance.

The present application is directed to a cosmetic composition that can serve as a deodorant and optionally, a concealer, colorant and/or brightener. The cosmetic composition is characterized by substantial non-transferability.

Disclosed is an oil-in-water anionic emulsion for eyelashes, and methods for its use, comprising a continuous phase comprising 35 to 55% by weight of water based on the total weight of the emulsion, a discontinuous phase comprising 15 to 25% by weight of a combination of waxes, wherein the combination of waxes comprises paraffin wax, carnauba wax, beeswax, and candelilla wax based on the total weight of the emulsion, and 5 to 15% by weight of the emulsion of an anionic surfactant system comprising stearic acid, palmitic acid, myristic acid, polyethylene glycol-40 (PEG-40) stearate, and stearyl stearate, wherein the oil-in-water anionic emulsion is capable of thickening the appearance of eyelashes.

A hair treatment composition in a cationic system includes water and a novel association of polysaccharide, such as inulin, a wax, such as, candelilla wax, a cationic surfactant, such as, behentrimonium chloride, and a film-forming polymer, such as polysilicone-29. The composition may include one or more additional components selected from fatty compounds, cationic polymers and styling polymers, embodied to deliver one or more of smoothing, straightening and curling/curl defining style features to achieve a particular straight or curly style with frizz control, softness and manageability.

The moisturizing properties of a water-based moisturizing composition containing one or more emollients emulsified in an aqueous carrier liquid are improved by including a water-soluble shellac in the composition.
