Mineral-based composition and methods of use thereof in preventing skin damages, such as in subjects exposed to radiation, are provided.
Cosmetic method for treating human perspiration using particles of an expanded amorphous mineral material; compositions
Provided is a cosmetic method for treating perspiration and, optionally, the body odors related to thereto, e.g. underarm odors, with an effective amount of particles of an expanded amorphous mineral material or of a composition thereof, and more particularly containing expanded perlite particles. The composition can contain, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, at least the above particles and at least one antiperspirant salt or complex. Also provided is a composition containing, in a cosmetically acceptable carrier, at least the above particles and at least one antiperspirant salt or complex. Also, provided is an anhydrous solid composition in stick form comprising in a cosmetically acceptable carrier: (i) more than 1% by weight, relative to the total weight of the composition, of expanded mineral particles as defined above; and (ii) at least one fatty phase comprising at least one volatile oil and/or at least one non-volatile oil and a structuring agent.
ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING MODIFIED CLAY AND BIPHENOL
The present invention is in the field of antimicrobial compositions, e.g. for personal care. In particular, the invention relates to antimicrobial compositions for oral care, such as toothpastes, comprising antimicrobial particles and biphenol. Accordingly, the present invention relates to antimicrobial compositions comprising a modified clay particle, the particle comprising an antimicrobial compound and a clay particle, and at least one biphenol compound. The invention further relates to the uses and methods of the antimicrobial compositions of the invention.
COSMETIC TREATMENT PROCESS
A process for subjecting a surface of the skin or of the hair to an abrasive and/or stimulating action, including projecting onto the surface a flow of at least one composition including a vector liquid and solid particles, the flow being generated from the collision of at least two jets generated by at least two nozzles of a dispensing device, the nozzles oriented such that their jets encounter one another, and at least one nozzle being supplied with a pressure of at least 4 bar and with a vector-liquid flow rate of less than or equal to 10 L/min.
COMPOSITION FOR TREATING VITILIGO
A first embodiment of a composition for treating vitiligo includes Cassia tora powder, Saussurea lappa root powder, Punica granatum L. (pomegranate) peels powder, and Psoralea corylifolia black seed powder. A second embodiment of a composition for treating vitiligo can include Cassia tora powder, Saussurea lappa root powder, Punica granatum L. (pomegranate) peels powder, Berberries (or Berberis) vulgaris root powder, red clay (with trace copper), and Ptycholis verlicillata root powder. Topical administration of the first composition followed by UV radiation exposure can facilitate inducing melanogenesis as well as generating ROS. Topical administration of the second composition following the UV radiation exposure can scavenge the ROS generated by the first composition.
