TRANSFORMING MAINFRAME PROCESSES AND ROUTING BASED ON SYSTEM STATUS
20230115282 · 2023-04-13 ·

A mainframe processing system comprises a memory operable to store data transformation instructions and one or more processors, at least one of the one or more processors operably coupled to the memory. The one or more processors are configured to receive batch processing data from one or more data sources, transform the batch processing data into a plurality of mainframe processes based on the data transformation instructions, and dispatch each mainframe process to a respective mainframe site. The batch processing data received by the processor indicates a plurality of batch processes formatted for mainframe processing as a batch. Each batch process is transformed to a respective mainframe process formatted for mainframe processing on an individual basis.

Intelligent snapshot generation and recovery in a distributed system

Systems, methods, and storage media for generating and/or recoverying an end-to-end hybrid cloud snapshot are disclosed. Exemplary implementations may: receive application specific triggering criteria for generating an end-to-end hybrid cloud snapshot; trigger a snapshot event based on the application specific triggering criteria and a machine learning model; accumulate snapshot portions from a plurality of nodes in a hybrid cloud network; and store, in a snapshot database, the end-to-end hybrid cloud snapshot comprising the snapshot portions from the plurality of nodes. Exemplary implementations may further include: generate a recovery model based on a snapshot database, wherein the snapshot database comprises a plurality of network snapshots associated with a network, receive parameters for a desired recovery state, and identify a recommended network snapshot from the plurality of network snapshots based on the recovery model and the parameters for the desired recovery state.

Resume support for cloud storage operations

A method comprises storing information corresponding to a plurality of files being written from a source storage device to a cloud storage platform in a file transfer operation. The method further comprises, in response to a failure of the file transfer operation, identifying from the information one or more file offsets successfully written to the cloud storage platform for one or more of the plurality of the files prior to the failure. The file transfer operation for the one or more of the plurality of files is resumed from the identified one or more file offsets.

DISTRIBUTED PACKAGE MANAGEMENT USING META-SCHEDULING

A system for package management includes an interface and a processor. The interface is to receive an indication to install a package. The processor is to determine a configured package using a set local configuration properties and using the package and to launch, using a metascheduler, a set of subschedulers to install a plurality of applications of the configured package.

Container dockerfile and container mirror image quick generation methods and systems

The invention discloses a container Dockerfile and container mirror image quick generation methods and systems. The container Dockerfile quick generation method includes the steps of for a to-be-packaged target application, running and performing tracking execution on the target application, and recording operation system dependencies of the target application in the running process; organizing and constructing a file list required for packaging the target application to a container mirror image; and according to the file list required for packaging the target application to the container mirror image, generating a Dockerfile and container mirror image file creation directory used for packaging the target application to the container mirror image. Any target application can be automatically packaged by the invention to a container; the construction of an executable minimal environmental closure of the target application is finished; the packaged container is smaller than a manually made container.

FAILOVER MANAGEMENT FOR BATCH JOBS

Computer-implemented methods, computer program products, and computer systems are provided. A method includes generating a running result matrix for a plurality of batch jobs, indicating corresponding running results for respective processing actions in batch jobs of the plurality of batch jobs. The method further includes obtaining an internal dependency matrix for the plurality of batch jobs, indicating corresponding dependencies between respective processing actions within a batch job of the plurality of batch jobs. The method further includes calculating a recovery matrix for the plurality of batch jobs based, at least in part, on the running result matrix and the internal dependency matrix, the recovery matrix indicating corresponding recovery actions for respective processing actions in batch jobs of the plurality of batch jobs. The method further includes executing failover management for one or more batch jobs based, at least in part, on the calculated recovery matrix.

System and method for hybrid kernel- and user-space incremental and full checkpointing

A system includes a multi-process application that runs on primary hosts and is checkpointed by a checkpointer comprised of a kernel-mode checkpointer module and one or more user-space interceptors providing at least one of barrier synchronization, checkpointing thread, resource flushing, and an application virtualization space. Checkpoints may be written to storage and the application restored from said stored checkpoint at a later time. Checkpointing may be incremental using Page Table Entry (PTE) pages and Virtual Memory Areas (VMA) information. Checkpointing is transparent to the application and requires no modification to the application, operating system, networking stack or libraries. In an alternate embodiment the kernel-mode checkpointer is built into the kernel.

NF SERVICE CONSUMER RESTART DETECTION USING DIRECT SIGNALING BETWEEN NFs
20230105343 · 2023-04-06 ·

Systems and methods for detecting, e.g., that a Network Function (NF) service consumer in a core network of a cellular communications system has restarted are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a NF service consumer in a core network of a cellular communications system comprises sending, to a NF service producer, a message comprising information related to a unit of the NF service consumer.

ENHANCED CONVERSATION INTERFACE FOR NETWORK MANAGEMENT
20230107046 · 2023-04-06 ·

Disclosed is a network management system that provides an interface to enable diagnostics and troubleshoot of a remotely managed multi-site network. Some embodiments provide a natural language interface, while other embodiments provide a chatbot type interface that communicates with a technician via traditional text information on a display screen. The diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities search a central data store that receives device property information from each site of the multi-site network. Based on devices or users that match portions of the entity, queries to the data store are initiated to obtain additional data on the devices. A response to the query is then provided based on the properties of the devices.

MEMORY IMAGE CAPTURE

A memory image can be captured by generating metadata indicative of a state of volatile memory and/or byte-addressable PMEM at a particular time during execution of a process by an application. This memory image can be persisted without copying the in-memory data into a separate persistent storage by storing the metadata and safekeeping the in-memory data in the volatile memory and/or PMEM. Metadata associated with multiple time-evolved memory images captured can be stored and managed using a linked index scheme. A linked index scheme can be configured in various ways including a full index and a difference-only index. The memory images can be used for various purposes including suspending and later resuming execution of the application process, restoring a failed application to a previous point in time, cloning an application, and recovering an application process to a most recent state in an application log.
