Topical compositions incorporating silica fibers
Embodiments of the invention include topical compositions comprising silica fiber powder or dust and a topical carrier, for treatment of skin tissue. The silica fiber powder or dust may be generated from silica fiber mats that may be formed via electrospinning of a sol gel produced with a silicon alkoxide reagent, such as tetraethyl ortho silicate, alcohol solvent, and an acid catalyst.
TEAT DISINFECTANT COMPOSITION
Antimicrobially effective compositions comprising lactic acid, salicylic acid, and at least one anionic surfactant are provided. The compositions are effective in controlling pathogen levels, particularly those commonly found on bovine teats to prevent or reduce the incidence of mastitis in lactating cows. In particular, the compositions possess germicidal and/or yeasticidal characteristics. Methods of using the antimicrobial compositions, as a part of a good milking routine, are also provided in which the compositions are applied to bovine teats.

A pharmacological composition for the treatment of bacterial and protozoal infections in a patient. The preferred pharmacological composition comprises a pharmaceutical carrier and an active composition selected from the group consisting of: a) an amount of sodium oxalate and an amount of oxalic acid, b) an amount of sodium citrate and an amount of citric acid, or c) mixtures of a) and b). The amounts and weight ratios of a) the sodium oxalate and oxalic acid, and b) the sodium citrate and citric acid in the active composition are such as to produce a safe and effective pharmacological composition. Sodium salts of other carboxylic acids may be used. The invention also relates to the method of using the pharmacological composition for the safe and effective treatment of bacterial infections, protozoal infections, lice and dermatological diseases.
Composition for treating wounds, dermatitis, inflammation, and irritation
A composition comprising effective amounts of benzalkonium chloride, allantoin, and nitrofurazone in a water soluble base for treating wounds and skin conditions, such as dermatitis is described. Methods of treating skin conditions and accelerating wound healing are also described.

Disclosed herein are veterinary compositions including imidacloprid or an analogue thereof; a pyrethroid; a solvent selected from the group consisting of N-methyl pyrrolidone, N-ethyl pyrrolidone and mixtures thereof; and dimethyl sulfoxide. The veterinary compositions of the invention are useful in methods of controlling parasites on or within warm-blooded domesticated animals.

RECOMBINANT ONCOLYTIC VIRUS, SYNTHETIC DNA SEQUENCE, AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A recombinant oncolytic virus, a synthetic DNA sequence and applications of the virus are described. The recombinant oncolytic virus includes a genome and an exogenous DNA sequence inserted in the genome. The exogenous DNA sequence adapts to express a basic peptide fragment, to increase the environmental pH in a host infected by the recombinant oncolytic virus. More than 60% of amino acids in the basic peptide fragment are basic amino acids. The recombinant oncolytic virus and the synthetic DNA sequence of the disclosure are used to prepare an anti-tumor drug.
