20220006691 · 2022-01-06 · ·

In a distributed control system, when the determination that an error has occurred is made as a result of comparison of correct connection information retained in a storage unit and connection information of an actually connected control object device or terminal communication device by a comparison unit, a central computation device outputs a display signal of an abnormal part to a display device, and the display device displays the abnormal part on the basis of the display signal. A distributed control system and an automatic analysis device provided with the same, and an automatic analysis system are thereby provided, whereby an erroneous connections or defects can be more easily and reliably detected than in the prior art, even when a plurality of control boards are distributedly arranged in the same device.

Information processing system

An information processing system includes a failure information obtaining unit, a handling method definition holding unit, in each of which a handling method to be executed for a failure possible in the monitoring target system is described, a selection unit selecting a handling method definition corresponding to the failure occurred in the monitoring target system, an execution unit performing a handling process, a handling result determination unit determining whether a result of execution of the handling process by the execution unit is a predetermined result, and an output unit, if the handling result determination unit determines that the result of the execution is the predetermined result, outputting information indicating an operator need not perform a handling process and, if the handling result determination unit determines the result of the execution is not the predetermined result, outputting information indicating that the operator needs to perform a handling process.

Embodiments include cognitive control of runtime resource monitoring scope. Aspects include obtaining historical data for each of a plurality of metrics for a computer system and calculating, based on the historical data, an anomaly relationship score for each of the plurality of metrics. Aspects also include calculating, based on the historical data, a sensitivity score for each of the plurality of metrics and determining a priority score for each of the plurality of metrics based upon a weighted combination of the anomaly relationship score and the priority score. Aspects further include receiving real-time data for each of the plurality of metrics and presenting a subset of the real-time data to a user, the subset created by selecting one or more of the plurality of metrics based on the priority score of each of the plurality of metrics.

File capture and processing system with in-line error detection

A system is provided for file capture and in-line error correction. The system comprises: a controller configured to capture and process a file during a file capture sequence comprising one or more capture events, the controller being configured to: capture a file using a file capture device associated with a user device, wherein capturing the file comprises receiving a file image and a user input data field associated with the file; identify, using an in-line file analysis module, an error with a capture event during the file capture sequence, wherein the error is a discrepancy identified between the user input data field and an image-derived data field; correct the error in the file before the file capture sequence is completed and the file is exported; and export the file, wherein the file capture sequence is completed.

Direct-attach cable data transmission visual indicator system

A direct-attach cable data transmission visual indicator system includes a networking device having a port, and a direct-attach cable that includes a direct-attach cable connector that is located on an end of the direct-attach cable and that couples the direct-attach cable to the port, and a visual indicator device that is included on the direct-attach cable adjacent to and spaced apart from the direct-attach cable connector. The visual indicator device receives, from the networking device via the port and the direct-attach cable connector, data transmission information that is associated with the transmission of data via the port, and provides a visual indication that is based on the first data transmission information.

A trace data acquisition system, comprising: a plurality of industrial machines configured to sequentially process an object; and circuitry configured to: determine whether one of the plurality of industrial machines has satisfied a specific condition; and request another industrial machine to acquire trace data when the one of the plurality of industrial machines is determined to have satisfied the specific condition.

MEMORY DEVICE WITH STATUS FEEDBACK FOR ERROR CORRECTION
20220237081 · 2022-07-28 ·

Methods, systems, and devices for a memory device with status feedback for error correction are described. For example, during a read operation, a memory device may perform an error correction operation on first data read from a memory array of the memory device. The error correction operation may generate second data and an indicator of a state of error corresponding to the second data. In one example, the indicator may indicate one of multiple possible states of error. In another example, the indicator may indicate a corrected error or no detectable error. The memory device may output the first or second data and the indicator of the state of error during a same burst interval. The memory device may output the data on a first channel and the indicator of the state of error on a second channel.

Shadow function for protection monitoring systems

A diagnostic system is provided and includes a plurality of processors configured to receive data acquired by a sensor. A first processor can execute a safety function that determines a plurality of sensor measurement from the received data, compares selected sensor measurements to predetermined alarm set points, and determines a safety function output for the selected sensor measurements based upon the sensor measurement comparison. A second processor can determine a shadow function output corresponding to the safety function outputs during different respective portions a diagnostic interval. The shadow function output can be configured to replicate the safety function output under conditions where the safety function output is free from error. A third processor can be configured to validate the safety function output by comparing the safety function output to its corresponding shadow function output and outputting a condition based upon the validation comparison.

Network device having dynamic port or link status indicators

An example network device includes a plurality of network ports that each facilitate one or more network links between the network device and one or more remote devices, a plurality of indicators each configured to represent a status of a respective one of the plurality of network ports on the network device, and processing circuitry configured to reconfigure at least one of the plurality of indicators to represent a link-status of the one or more network links of at least one network port of the network device in response to a command.

Recovering pre-indexed data from a shared storage system following a failed indexer

Systems and methods are described for improving data availability and/or resiliency of indexers of a data intake and query system. A data intake and query system can index large amounts of data using one or more indexers. An indexer can store a copy of the data that the indexer is assigned to process in the shared storage system, and a cluster master can track the storage of the data and the indexer assigned to process the data. In the event an indexer fails or is otherwise unable to index data that it has been assigned to index, the cluster master can assign one or more second indexers to process the data. The second indexer can download the data from the shared storage system.
