REDUCING THE PROLIFERATION OF ADENOCARCINOMA CELLS (CACO-2) BY ADMINISTRATION OF A POLY-OXYGENATED METAL HYDROXIDE
A method of treating a mammal, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a poly-oxygenated metal hydroxide composition to a mammal to reduce a proliferation of hypoxic carcinoma cells, wherein the poly-oxygenated metal hydroxide composition comprises a clathrate containing free oxygen gas (O.sub.2) molecules. The carcinoma cells may comprise colon adenocarcinoma cells (CaCo-2). The poly-oxygenated metal hydroxide material is configured to provide bioavailable oxygen gas molecules to a mammal when administered to the mammal. The poly-oxygenated metal hydroxide composition can be administered intravenously, directly to carcinoma cells, and orally. The composition may comprise a fluid, where the poly-oxygenated metal hydroxide composition is soluble in the fluid.
NANOEMULSION SYNTHETIC RED BLOOD CELLS HAVING SEQUENTIALLY FORMED CALCIUM PHOSPHATE COATING AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The present invention relates to nanoemulsion type synthetic red blood cells having a calcium phosphate coating of controllable thickness, and to a preparation method thereof. According to the present invention, Ca.sup.2+ and PO.sub.4.sup.2 coating layers are uniformly and sequentially formed using a layer-by-layer (LBL) coating method while controlling the thicknesses of the coating layers. Thus, the oxygen capacity and oxygen release rate of the synthetic red blood cells can be controlled, and the synthetic red blood cells can be retrieved and reused.

OXYGENATED DEMINERALIZED BONE MATRIX FOR USE IN BONE GROWTH
An improved composition for inducing bone growth is provided that is a combination of at least DBM and an oxygen carrier. Injection/implantation of a composition of DBM and an oxygen carrier (e.g. a perfluorocarbon) results in enhancement of bone formation compared to DBM alone.
FACTOR VIII PROTEIN COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF TREATING OF HEMOPHILIA A
Compositions of recombinant FVIII protein comprising point mutations. Methods for using recombinant FVIII to activate FX and FIXa in cells and treat diseases mediated by the degradation of FVIII are described.
COMPOSITION AND METHODS FOR TREATMENT OF LOSS OF FLUIDS LEADING TO HYPOTENSION AND/OR HYPOVOLEMIA
The present invention is directed to a composition containing at least one salt, at least one natural or synthetic saccharide, and at least one natural or synthetic high molecular weight, non-ionic, hydrophilic polymer. When in a liquid form, the composition is ready for infusion or injection to patients that suffer from loss of fluids that causes reduced volume and/or pressure in the systemic circulation. The composition is also suitable for treatment of organ conditions where blood flow is impaired or insufficient, resulting in organ distress, including tissue loss. The invention also relates to use as a prophylaxis to prevent medical consequences of anticipated conditions where depleted circulatory fluids, low blood pressure, or impaired organ perfusion require correction.
Spray-Dried Blood Products and Methods of Making Same
The present invention is directed to a method of preparing dehydrated blood products, comprising the steps of: (a) providing a hydrated blood product; (b) spray-drying the hydrated blood product to produce a dehydrated blood product, as well as dehydrated blood products made by the method. The present invention is directed to a method of treating a patient suffering from a blood-related disorder, comprising the steps of: (a) rehydrating a therapeutic amount of the dehydrated blood products to produce a rehydrated therapeutic composition; and (b) administering the rehydrated therapeutic composition to the patient. The present invention is directed to a bandage or surgical aid comprising the dehydrated blood products described above.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL FOR IMPROVING HUMAN SEXUAL FUNCTION
A medical procedure for improving human sexual function in a patient is disclosed. The medical procedure includes drawing blood from the patient, processing the blood that was drawn to produce platelet rich plasma (PRP) from said blood, and anesthetizing a portion of a penile shaft of a male patient or anesthetizing a portion of a vulva and an anterior vaginal wall of a female patient. The medical procedure also includes applying extra corporeal shockwave therapy to portions of the penis (in a male patient) or portions of the vulva (in a female patient) using an extra corporeal shockwave generator system, and injecting the platelet rich plasma produced from said blood into at least one location on the perineal area of the patient.
Oxygen-enabled composition
A composition of chlorine-free poly-oxygenated aluminum hydroxide that comprises a clathrate containing oxygen gas molecules. In one embodiment, the poly-oxygenated aluminum hydroxide has particles having a diameter of 212 microns or less. The composition may be homogeneous.
