An anti-microbial composition including: a solvent; a cationic active ingredient; a source of zinc ions, wherein the zinc ions have a concentration from 6.2×10.sup.−4 to 8.7×10.sup.−3 mol/L; and an amine oxide surfactant. A method of selectively killing Gram-positive bacteria, the method including: exposing bacteria to a formulation including: 0.05 to 0.3 wt. % of benzethonium chloride and/or benzalkonium chloride; a source of zinc ions, wherein the zinc ions have a concentration from 6.8×10.sup.−3 to 2×10.sup.−2 mol/L; and an amine oxide surfactant.

Exemplary embodiments of high non-aerosol foam sanitizers are disclosed herein. An exemplary embodiment of high non-aerosol foam sanitizer includes a liquid mixture that includes an alcohol, water and a surfactant mixed with and entrapping air to form a plurality of foam bubbles. Wherein more than about 50 percent of the foam bubbles have a size of between about 50 μm and about 250 μm.

A self-foaming composition is described that includes brimonidine, for a no-rinse topical application. Foam-formed collagen strands may be processed into threads having a matrix of reticulated pores to conduct biological materials in and through the strand, the collagen of the collagen strand comprising isolated, enzymatically-treated human derived collagen having a preserved amount of its natural collagen constituents.
