An image processing apparatus includes at least one of one or more processors configured to implement instructions stored in a memory device and an integrated circuit that execute a first acquiring task of acquiring data of a first object from a first memory by designating an address in the first memory, a second acquiring task of acquiring data of a second object from a second memory by a first-in first-out (FIFO) scheme, and a bitmap image generation task of generating a bitmap image including at least the first object and the second object based on the data acquired in the first acquiring task and the data acquired in the second acquiring task.

According to an embodiment of this invention, an image processing apparatus generates image data to be used to print an image on a print medium, based on a print job transmitted from a host, generates first print data by performing image processing on part of the generated image data, stores the first print data in a first memory, generates second print data by performing image processing on a remaining part of the generated image data, and stores the second print data in a second memory. The apparatus further transfers the first print data from the first memory to the second memory, composes the first print data and the second print data stored in the second memory, and transfers the composite data as print data to a continuous area of a third memory.

A method for generating bitmap image data of a page includes acquiring print data of a page including compressed images, and performing rendering of bands included in the page based on the print data to generate the bitmap image data. The performing of the rendering performs rendering at least two of the bands concurrently. The performing of the rendering includes decompressing the compressed images, and using the decompressed images for corresponding bands of the bands to generate the bitmap image data. The decompressing decompresses, into a same memory area in a decompression buffer, at least two compressed images used for different bands, so that one of the two compressed images is decompressed into the same memory area and another of the two compressed images is decompressed, after rendering of a last band for which the one of the two compressed images is lastly used is finished, into the same memory area.

In an example, an apparatus comprising an image processor is configured to perform edge detection on the image to detect a plurality of edges, automatically identify a path across the image based on the detected plurality of edges, divide the image into two adjacent sub-images based on the determined path, and generate first and second print data to cause the printing device to print the two adjacent sub-images.

Provided is an image processing apparatus comprising: at least one controller, having at least one processor which executes instructions stored in at least one memory and/or at least one circuitry, being configured to: generate intermediate data by analyzing PDL data; generate a color conversion table based on a predetermined color conversion method; rewrite color information contained in the intermediate data by using the color conversion table; and perform rendering based on the intermediate data after the rewrite of the color information.

Printing images on a printing medium by means of a printer, comprising the receiving of image data for each image of a list of images to be printed on said printing medium; splitting up of the received image data of the list of images into N successive sequences corresponding to N printing steps, N being an integer greater or equal to 1, of M groups of image data of individual images, M being an integer greater than 1, each group of image data of a printing step comprising image data of at least one individual image, the number of individual images in the M groups of a given printing step corresponding to the total number of images to be printed at this printing step; sequentially for each printing step, distributing of the M groups of image data to, respectively, M distinct processing units, each processing unit sequentially processing image data of each individual image data from a received group of image data to generate a corresponding set of printable individual image data; and upon all said M processing units having each completed generation of a set of printable individual image data from a corresponding group of said corresponding printing step, authorizing of the printer to print the corresponding individual images on the printing medium.

An image processing apparatus uses a first rendering processor that performs rendering of a first area within a page based on print data and a second rendering processor that performs rendering of a second area within the page based on the print data. The image processing apparatus includes a controller, having a processor which executes instructions stored in a memory or having circuitry, being configured to acquire image data arranged across the first area and the second area based on the print data, cause the first rendering processor having accessed the image data to acquire all pixels of the image data and to perform rendering with pixels within the first area of all the pixels of the image data, and cause the second rendering processor having accessed the image data to acquire all the pixels of the image data and to perform rendering with pixels within the second area of all the pixels of the image data.

In a case where a size of a path object contained in drawing data is less than or equal to a predetermined threshold value, a drawing instruction to draw a line of a predetermined line width along an outline of the path object is added to the drawing data.
