An image processing apparatus includes a division unit and a generation unit. The division unit divides an image represented by image forming data into multiple division regions. The generation unit generates a piece of bitmap image data by causing a hardware processing unit to process a piece of division-region data selected from among pieces of division-region data of the multiple division regions in descending order of processing loads of image processing performed when pieces of bitmap image data are generated from the respective pieces of division-region data, the processing loads being obtained for the respective division regions, and by causing a CPU to perform software processing on a piece of division-region data selected from among the pieces of division-region data in ascending order of the processing loads.
PROCESSING PRINT JOBS WITH A SINGLE SHEET JOB MODEL
System and methods for processing and printing print jobs with a single sheet job model job model. In one embodiment, a print controller includes an interface that receives a print job, and a processing unit that initiates a processing task for a group of pages in the print job. The print controller also includes a sheet controller that establishes a single sheet job model in memory for the processing task, and that iteratively inserts sheet properties of a set of pages of the group into the single sheet job model, provides the single sheet job model with the sheet properties to the processing task, and erases the sheet properties from the single sheet job model.
Method of converting image data from source format into target format
A method is provided for converting image data from a source format into a target format in a system including a converter for converting a sequence of data from the source format into an intermediate format, and an image processing system for converting the data from the intermediate format into the target format. The inverter is capable of dividing the data in the intermediate format into separate files. The method includes the steps of processing a first file in the image processing system; compiling a second file in the converter; and when the first file has been processed completely, instructing the converter to close the second file and send it to the image processing system and to open a new file for the next data to be converted.
