The disclosure discloses a printer including a first memory that stores computer-executable instructions that cause the printer to perform a terminal searching process, a job receiving process, and a coordination control process. In the terminal searching process, it is searched whether any of the operation terminals retains the printing job conforming to an accepting condition or not, by performing the mutually-recognized communication triggered by reception of a signal of an action-starting operation in a starting operation accepting process. In the job receiving process, in the case that some of the operation terminals retain the printing job conforming to the accepting condition, the printing job from the operation terminal is received. In the coordination control process, the printing head and the feeder are controlled in coordination with each other in the manner that the printed matter in accordance with print data in the printing job is produced.

A printing system is disclosed. The printing system includes at least one physical memory device to store calibration logic and one or more processors coupled with the at least one physical memory device to execute the calibration logic to generate a uniformity compensated transfer function for each of a plurality of pel forming elements, generate a missing neighbor corrected transfer function for each of the pel forming elements, generate a missing neighbor transfer function based on the uniformity compensated transfer functions and the missing neighbor corrected transfer function and compute an average of the missing neighbor transfer functions to generate an average missing neighbor transfer function.

A method of operating an image forming apparatus includes receiving a request to perform an image forming operation, performing a calibration operation based on obtained urgency level information in response to the request, when a condition to perform a calibration is determined to be satisfied, the urgency level indicating a level of urgency to perform the image forming operation and the calibration is to standardize standardizing color representation of the image to be formed, and performing the image forming operation after the calibration operation is performed.

The printing system includes at least one physical memory device to store nozzle correction logic and one or more processors coupled with at least one physical memory device to execute the nozzle correction logic to receive a uniformity compensated transfer function for each of a plurality of pel forming elements, receive an average missing neighbor transfer function, receive a defective nozzles list including one or more of the plurality of pel forming elements indicated as defective during print production; and perform missing neighbor processing by applying the average missing neighbor transfer function associated with the pel forming element determined to be a neighbor of a defective pel forming element.

A printing apparatus includes a conveyance unit for conveying a print medium fed from a feeding apparatus, a detection unit for detecting the fed print medium, a printhead, provided downstream of the detection unit with respect to a conveyance direction of the print medium, for printing an image by discharging ink to the conveyed print medium, and a heating unit, provided downstream of the printhead with respect to the conveyance direction, for heating the print medium on which the image is printed. A screen containing information on usage is displayed as the predetermined screen where the predetermined condition is that a particular print setting is contained in the print setting information and information as an indication to display the predetermined screen is displayed in an item in the settable list corresponding to the particular print setting and the predetermined condition is met.

A printer according to one embodiment includes a print head, a cutter, a detection unit, and a mode control unit. The print head prints an image based on print data on a recording medium. The cutter cuts the recording medium based on a cut command. The detection unit detects that a duration time of an idle state in a first mode exceeds a predetermined time. The mode control unit changes, in response to the detection unit detecting that the duration time of the idle state exceeds the predetermined time, control of shifting an operation mode from the first mode to a second mode in which consumed power is lower than that of the first mode, in accordance with an event related to shift to the idle state.
