Printing on a web of a printing substrate
Method and apparatus for printing on a printing substrate which is a web which is elongate in a longitudinal direction, wherein frames of a maximum printing format can be printed in a sequence on the web. The printing includes arranging a number of pages on sheets of a given sheet format, wherein the maximum printing format is larger in the longitudinal direction of the web than the sheet format, wherein pages which are adjacent in the longitudinal direction of the web are separate from each in the longitudinal direction of the web, imposing pages of more than one sheet into printing frames which are larger in the longitudinal direction of the web than the sheet format but not larger than the maximum printing format, printing the frames, and grouping the pages from the printed frames to sheets on which the pages are arranged as originally.
Cut-out printing system
Methods and systems for printing and cutting are described. Methods include generating an output image by placing a plurality of input images into an output image, identifying white space in one of the plurality of input images, determining the largest one of remaining ones of the plurality of input images that will fit the white space having been identified, locating the largest one of the remaining ones of the plurality of input images having been determined in the white space, and generating the output image comprising one of the plurality of input images and the largest one of the remaining ones of the plurality of input images having been positioned in the white space.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OPTIMISING TRANSFORMATION BY DIGITAL PROCESSING OF A SUBSTRATE
The present invention relates to a device for transforming by digital processing a substrate and preferably a pre-processed substrate. The present invention also relates to a method for transforming by digital processing a substrate, preferably a pre-processed substrate.

System and method for ascertaining and printing supplemental forms identified from content of a scanned base form
A system and method for ascertaining and printing supplemental forms identified from content of a scanned form includes a multifunction peripheral having an intelligent controller with a processor, memory, a network interface. The MFP includes a print engine and a scan engine operable from instructions issued by the controller. The scanner generates an electronic form document from a scan of tangible form document comprised of user supplied information in a user fillable form. The electronic form document includes content data associated with at least one, preexisting supplemental form that related to the electronic form. A generated electronic document is sent to a server via a network interface, which network interface then receives a supplemental electronic form identified by the server in accordance with the content data. The controller generates a printout of the supplemental electronic form via the print engine.

Method for scheduling and controlling printer maintenance
A first successive printing job executed for printing a plurality of images in series on a first medium placed alongside a second medium is interrupted after the completion of one printing job for a first image included in the first successive printing job, and before the start of another printing job for printing another image following the first image; a second successive printing job executed for printing a plurality of images in series on the second medium in parallel with the first successive printing job is interrupted after the completion of a printing job included in the second successive printing job and being under execution at a time point at which the first successive printing job has been interrupted; and the maintenance for the printing head is executed in a state in which both the first successive printing job and the second successive printing job is interrupted.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes a memory device that stores instructions and at least one processor that executes the instructions to determine an image rendering instruction as a conversion target to be converted into a cutout rendering instruction among rendering instructions that have been input, convert the image rendering instruction that has been determined as the conversion target into a cutout rendering instruction, and generate a rendering command based on the rendering instructions that have been input and that include the cutout rendering instruction obtained by the conversion.
CUT-OUT PRINTING SYSTEM
Methods and systems for arranging shapes within a document prior to printing cut-out patterns are described. A printing device may identify and group contents in a page of a print job as shapes to be cut out from the paper after they are printed. The printing device may then detect the grouped page contents as cut-out patterns. For each cut-out pattern, the printing device may detect the white spaces of content of the cut-out pattern and mark them as available for printing other cut-out patterns. Thus, the printing device may print multiple cut-out patterns on a same page based on using the white space within larger cut-out patterns.
