METHOD FOR PROVIDING RANDOM COMBINATION STATUS CODE FOR COMMODITY
20180373971 · 2018-12-27 ·

The present invention provides a method for providing a random combination status code for a commodity, comprising parts A and B provided on a commodity and corresponding circuit components. The parts A and B have particular joint surfaces, and their respective joint surfaces have conductive geometric patterns made of a conductive material; the combination of these patterns reflects the on/off of a circuit, thereby generating potential signals which record and transmit information by means of other circuit components. In this coding method, different storage statuses of a commodity can be distinguished according to status bit information sent by the commodity. The method can be widely used in commodity packaging, and can achieve good effects in managing commodity circulation, quality and safety.

Systems, methods and associated RFID antennas for processing a plurality of transponders

An RFID system for selectively communicating with a targeted transponder from among a group of multiple adjacent transponders is provided. The RFID system may include a transponder conveyance system adapted to transport at least one targeted transponder from a group of multiple adjacent transponders through a transponder encoding area along a feeding direction and an antenna having a resonant inductor and a ferrite material, wherein the ferrite material at least partially covers the resonant inductor and defines an exposed portion of the resonant inductor. In one antenna-transponder alignment, the exposed portion extends substantially parallel to the feeding direction.

A chip card sleeve including a cavity for holding a chip card, and a first contact and a second contact that extend into the cavity, wherein the first contact and the second contact are electrically conductively connected to one another.

Temporary carrier of a removable memory card

A temporary carrier of a removable memory card (2) is in the shape of a flat card (1), where the removable memory card (2) forms an element to be released from the flat card body (1). The removable memory card (2) has at least five additional contacts (4) for temporary usage before the removable memory card is removed from the flat card (1) body. The additional contacts (4) take up a smaller surface as a contact field (5) of a standardized flat card (1). The removable memory card (2) is located within the flat card (1) in such a way that the position of additional contacts (4) corresponds to the position of a standardized flat card (1) contact field (5). The suitable sixth additional switch contact (8) can be used to switch secure elements. The temporary carrier is inserted into a standard burning device, which operates with it in the same way as it would with a common card with a contact field (5).

Metallic chipcard having a metal label thereon

A chipcard having a card body formed by at least one dielectric layer and one metal layer, the metal layer having a cavity and an outline, the metal layer further having a slit, the card further having an antenna extending in the cavity. The card further includes at least one metal label at least partially covering the cavity and the antenna, the label being fixed onto one of the faces of the card, the metal label having a metal layer comprising a pattern having a first part formed by first etched metal lines delimiting at least one zone that is at least partially of metal, and a second part made of second etched metal lines forming only open loops.

METHOD FOR USING AND MAINTAINING USER DATA STORED ON A SMART CARD
20180091502 · 2018-03-29 ·

In a method for using and maintaining user data stored on a smart card, a smart card receives a user data request for the user data stored on the smart card. The smart card determines whether the user data request is a data maintenance request or a data use request. A data maintenance request is for modifying user data stored on the smart card. A data use request is for read only access to user data stored on the smart card. The smart card uses a first process to determine whether to allow the user data request when the user data request is determined to be a data maintenance request. The smart card uses a second process, different from the first method, to determine whether to allow the user data request when the user data request is determined to be a data use request.

IC card issuance apparatus, IC card issuance system and IC card issuance method
09898696 · 2018-02-20 · ·

An IC card issuance apparatus includes an issuance processing unit and a data supply unit. The issuance processing unit performs processing for issuing an IC card based on issuance data. The data supply unit monitors whether or not an issuance data file containing the issuance data is stored in a storage apparatus designated in advance, and supplies the issuance data contained in the issuance data file stored in the storage apparatus to the issuance processing unit such that the issuance processing unit executes issuance of the IC card based on the issuance data if the issuance data file is stored in the storage apparatus.

Payment device applets with pre-stored messages and triggerable logic
12236447 · 2025-02-25 · ·

A system may include a payment card that includes one or more chips that are operable to utilize information in a payment transaction to enact different functions. For example, a payment applet in a contact chip transaction (e.g., contact EMV transaction) or contactless chip transaction (e.g., contactless EMV transaction) may utilize information that flows through the chip (e.g., country, time, date, transaction amount, approval status) to trigger pre-stored messages or functions (e.g., switch to a payment option or account). Information may be introduced into the chip during a transaction as a result of manual input from the cardholder on the cardholder's phone or other device. Thus, transaction scripting (e.g., EMV scripting) may be utilized to let a card (e.g., static or powered) know that a function (e.g., change of account) is desired by a cardholder and the chip may, if not in the proper account, reset and restart the chip in a mode associated with the desired function (e.g., in the desired account).
