Connector system with RFID circuit

A connector is provided that includes an RFID circuit. Before the connector is mated with a corresponding connector the RFID circuit is tuned so that it does not function in a desired manner at a desired frequency. Once the connector is mated the tuning of the RFID circuit is modified so that the RFID circuit functions in the desired manner at the desired frequency.

Payment device applets with pre-stored messages and triggerable logic

A system may include a payment card that includes one or more chips that are operable to utilize information in a payment transaction to enact different functions. For example, a payment applet in a contact chip transaction (e.g., contact EMV transaction) or contactless chip transaction (e.g., contactless EMV transaction) may utilize information that flows through the chip (e.g., country, time, date, transaction amount, approval status) to trigger pre-stored messages or functions (e.g., switch to a payment option or account). Information may be introduced into the chip during a transaction as a result of manual input from the cardholder on the cardholder's phone or other device. Thus, transaction scripting (e.g., EMV scripting) may be utilized to let a card (e.g., static or powered) know that a function (e.g., change of account) is desired by a cardholder and the chip may, if not in the proper account, reset and restart the chip in a mode associated with the desired function (e.g., in the desired account).

A modular radio-identification system including a first passive radio-identification module having a housing with a memory for storing an identification datum disposed inside the housing and being linked to an antenna. The system also includes a second active radio-identification module having a housing with a controller disposed therein, the controller being linked to a supply battery, to a transmiter/receiver and to at least one sensor. The housings of the two modules are equipped with components of reversible and complementary fixing which are adapted for co-operating together so as to allow the reversible fixing of the second module on the first module. The modules include electrical connection components adapted for establishing an electrical connection between the memory and the controller once the second module is fixed on the first module. The system may be supplemented with a hood for covering the first module.

Card-type wireless transceiver for a vehicle, and method for manufacturing same

Disclosed is a wireless transceiver for a vehicle and a method of manufacturing the same. In a wireless transceiver manufacturing process according to the present disclosure and a method of manufacturing the same, both of the top and bottom sides of a circuit board, on which components are mounted, are encapsulated using a resin material in a state where the circuit board floats in a cavity. A pin configured to support the circuit board is installed and a decoration flat member is fixed to the surface of the circuit board opposite to the side where the pin is installed using double-sided tape. As a result, it is possible to prevent the resin case from being warped by heat generated from the circuit board. In addition, it is possible to omit an existing post-processing process for preventing the damage to the circuit board which may be caused when one side of the circuit board is exposed to the outside as it is. Thus, steps of the manufacturing process and the manufacturing costs can be reduced.

TWO-PIECE TRANSACTION CARD CONSTRUCTION

The disclosed embodiments generally relate to transaction card constructions, and particularly, to a two-piece transaction card construction. Disclosed embodiments include a generally planar first card component including a first surface and a generally planar second card component including a second surface wherein the first card component is separate from the second card component. In disclosed embodiments, for example, the generally planar first card component and the generally planar second card component may be configured such that one forms a cavity and the other forms an inlay component configured to be seated within the cavity. In other embodiments the generally planar first card component and the generally planar second card component may be configured such that one forms a container and the other forms a lid configured to close the container.
