An accessory for a tag device and a RFID tagging device using the accessory. The accessory includes a tag holder defining with a slot arranged to receive the tag device and to removably secure the tag device in a predetermined position; and an antenna provided on the tag holder, wherein the antenna has a radiator arranged to couple to a feeder of the tag device when the tag device is positioned in the predetermined position within the slot.

Disclosed is a smart device housing configured to fixably attach to a beverage vessel having a domed surface at a distal end, the domed surface adjacent a wall terminating at a lip, the smart device housing including an exterior configured as a transformable shape enabling a locking fit between the lip and the domed surface of the beverage vessel. Also disclosed is a system wherein a smart device has at least one proximity, image or distance sensor having a beam of detection with a path, the sensor located and directed such the beam of detection covers a location where a coupler can be attached to the beverage vessel, the smart device configured to determine whether the coupler is attached to the beverage vessel by measuring whether the path is obstructed by the coupler. Also disclosed is a method of determining the fill status of a beverage container.

An RFID tag includes a circuit board, an RFID IC, a functional module, a case and a lid. The circuit board has a main part and an extended part. The extended part extends along an edge of the main part and includes an antenna conductor. The RFID IC is mounted on the circuit board. The functional module is disposed so as to overlap the circuit board. The case accommodates the circuit board and the functional module. The lid closes an opening of the case. The main part of the circuit board is held at a position away from an inner bottom surface of the case with the functional module as an obstacle in a direction toward the lid.

The disclosed embodiments generally relate to transaction card constructions, and particularly, to a two-piece transaction card construction. Disclosed embodiments include a generally planar first card component including a first surface and a generally planar second card component including a second surface wherein the first card component is separate from the second card component. In disclosed embodiments, for example, the generally planar first card component and the generally planar second card component may be configured such that one forms a cavity and the other forms an inlay component configured to be seated within the cavity. Example components of the modular card include a thin rectangular rear plate, a thin rectangular front plate overlying the rear plate, a first plurality of fasteners fixed to the thin rectangular front plate, a second plurality of fasteners fixed to the thin rectangular rear plate, the second plurality of fasteners being configured to be removably engaged with the first plurality of fasteners; a magnetic strip, and/or an integrated circuit. In some example, the modular card may include components which relate to different accounts.

Aspects described herein may allow for a payment card assembly including a payment card having a first surface, an opposed second surface, and an aperture extending through the payment card from the first surface to the second surface. An insert may be removably received in the aperture. Each of a plurality of identification elements may be configured to be removably received in the aperture and have an identification characteristic different than an identification characteristic of each of the other identification elements.

A command code management method, implemented by a command code management device. The method includes transmitting a command signal to a second terminal that has been associated with a first terminal from which a command code, on which the command signal is based, is received, the command code having been received by the first terminal prior to the transmission and after the association of the first terminal and second terminal.
