METALLIC TRANSACTION CARDS
A transaction card includes an anodized card body having a front and rear face. Various information and security features may be provided on the front face and on the rear face. A magnetic stripe may be provided on the rear face of the anodized card body. The magnetic stripe may be adhered within a slot formed within the rear face of the anodized body. Alternatively, the magnetic stripe may be provided via an overlay that is adhered to the rear face of the anodized body, and the magnetic stripe may be integral with the overlay or adhered to the overlay after the overlay is applied to the anodized card body. The transaction card may also include a hologram. The hologram may be integral with the overlay or may be applied to the overlay that has been arranged on the anodized card body.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR REDUCING IDENTITY FRAUD OF ELECTRONIC TRANSACTION DEVICE
Tamper-proofing and secure identity validation techniques in a transaction processing system and secure electronic payment techniques are disclosed. A tamper-proof transaction processing device is provided and comprises at least two different strength adhesives to secure parts of the device together and a housing comprising at least a first and second protective layer. An electronic component comprising a secure element chip storing unique information relating to the chip is located between the first and second protective layer in the housing. In another aspect, a transaction processing system includes a payment instrument that is configured to approve only negative value and/or zero value transaction requests. Another aspect provides an identity card checking system and method where the identity card is brought into proximity of a data processing device and identity information is displayed on the screen of the data processing device for the period of time while the card is in proximity.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING SECURE TAGS
Systems and methods are provided for decoding secure tags using an authentication server and secure tag reader. The system can include at least one processor and at least one non-transitory memory. The memory can contain instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the secure tag reader to perform operations. The operations can include detecting a potential secure tag in an image and generating a normalized secure tag image using the image and a stylesheet. The operations can further include providing an identification request to an authentication server, the identification request including the normalized secure tag image. The operations can additionally include receiving rules for decoding tag data encoded into the secure tag as tag feature options and decoding the tag data using the received rules.
PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC SYSTEM
A portable electronic device adapted for connecting to a base is provided. The base has a first connector and an RFID tag. The portable electronic device includes a casing, a second connector, a cover, a control module and an RFID sensor. The second connector is disposed on a lateral surface of the casing and is adapted for connecting to the first connector. The cover is movably disposed on the lateral surface of the casing and corresponds to the second connector, so as to cover or expose the second connector. The RFID sensor is disposed in the casing and is adjacent to the lateral surface. The RFID sensor detects the RFID tag to generate a signal. The control module is disposed in the casing and coupled to the RFID sensor and the cover. The control module controls the cover to move to expose the second connector according to the signal.
MOBILE DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING SAFETY OF GAS CYLINDER FILL OPERATIONS
A mobile device for use in managing safety aspects associated with gas cylinder fill operations includes a memory for storing computer-executable instructions and a processor for executing the computer-executable instructions. The mobile device also includes a display component, an input component, a reading component, and a wireless interface component. The display component displays prompts to include cylinder-inspection-criteria prompts and cylinder-filling-data prompts. The input component receives user-supplied responses to the prompts. The reading component captures a unique identifier coupled to and associated with a gas cylinder. The wireless interface component sends and receives data over a wireless network. The user-supplied responses are associated with the unique identifier of the gas cylinder and are transmitted over the wireless network via the wireless interface component for inclusion with historical data associated with the gas cylinder maintained at a remote data store.
FRAUD REDUCTION ELECTRONIC TRANSACTION DEVICE
Method for deploying large numbers of waste containers in a waste collection system
A method of redeploying waste containers in a waste collection system with an active or passive signal means requires a user to aim an optical character recognition reader at a waste container comprising a unique optical waste container identifier. The optical character recognition reader reads unique waste container optical identifier. The unique waste container optical identifier is converted to a unique electronically formatted waste container identifier. A unique radio frequency signal identifier is stored on a radio frequency emitting tag and associated with the unique electronically formatted waste container identifier. The radio frequency emitting tag is attached to the waste container.
