Embodiments of the present invention are directed to a method of optimizing at least one performance variable, such as revenue or profitability, indicative of the performance of a casino. An initial set of operating parameters is set. At least one environmental variable, such as traffic, weather, time, cost of transportation, etc. are monitored as is the performance variable. An artificial intelligence program changes operating parameters, such as player-tracking rewards, bonuses, comps, advertising, etc. The program determines the effect of the change, and further changes the operating parameter as a function of the effect and the environmental variable.

Gaming System with Symbol-Driven Approach to Randomly-Selected Trigger Value for Feature
20230237865 · 2023-07-27 ·

A gaming system randomly selects a trigger value for a feature, which starts when the current value of a symbol counter reaches the trigger value. In some examples, a gaming system includes memory that stores data defining reel strips. When a symbol counter is initialized, an initial value of the symbol counter is randomly selected from a range of allowable initial values having an upper limit. A trigger value is randomly selected from a range between the initial value and a ceiling value, which is greater than the upper limit. For each of one or more instances, symbols are selected from the reel strips for display, and the current value of the symbol counter is incremented based on the count of designated symbols, if any, among the selected symbols. Responsive to the current value of the symbol counter reaching the trigger value, the feature is started.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PLAYING AN ELECTRONIC GAME INCLUDING A STOP-BASED BONUS GAME
20230005341 · 2023-01-05 ·

Gaming systems, methods, and machines provided herein may be used to provide bonus games that are associated with two different classes of awards, e.g., one or more first awards and one or more second awards. The first award(s) may generally be much more desirable to players than the second award(s), e.g., the first awards may be large-denomination jackpot awards, whereas the second awards may be small-denomination credit awards, e.g., non-jackpot awards. During play of such bonus games, selection of a stop position associated with a second award may cause that stop position to be instead associated with one of the one or more first awards for future play of the bonus game, thereby increasing the opportunities to win a first award in subsequent play of the bonus game.

AMUSEMENT SYSTEM FOR SKILL-BASED GAMES AND METHODS DIRECTED TO THE SAME

Systems and methods for a skill-based games are provided with the present disclosure. A plurality of targets each are displayed and moved about a playfield shown on a display of an amusement system according to one or more non-random, learnable sequences or patterns. Upon receipt of an input at one or more of player controls of a player station of the amusement system, a game play is initiated and an object is directed along the playfield from the player station. If the object engages a target of the plurality of targets, the game play is ended and it is determined whether a threshold criterion for obtainment of the target has been met. An award is distributed to the player station if the threshold criterion for obtainment of the target has been met. Other aspects also are described.

LOW-COMPLEXITY REEL SYMBOL REPLACEMENT STRATEGY WITH CLUSTERING
20230005338 · 2023-01-05 ·

In an electronic gaming device, instances of a target symbol are swapped in to symbol positions of one or more reel strips using one or more index tables to identify the symbol positions at which to swap in the instances of the target symbol. The index table(s) can be configured to cluster instances of the target symbol according to a deterministic approach. Subsequently, spin results are determined for one or more spins of reels using the reel strips.

Method and system for a gaming system user interface

A gaming machine includes a base, a columnar pedestal extending vertically from the base, and a button deck adjustably coupled to the pedestal. The button deck includes an upper surface including a transparent touchscreen element, a lower surface opposite the upper surface, and a button deck body extending therebetween. At least one of the lower surface and the body include one or more transparent display elements, the one or more transparent display elements are configured to generate images of gaming machine control actuators viewable on the upper surface. The transparent touchscreen element is configured to receive touches and gestures indicating control inputs. The gaming machine also includes a player tracking card reader positioned within the button deck and accessible through a slot in a front edge of the button deck, the player tracking card reader communicatively coupled to a player tracking display area of the gaming machine.

Gaming machine display mounting and alignment configuration and method

A gaming machine includes a video display mounting configuration, such as for mounting a secondary video display to a base cabinet having a first or primary video display. The mounting comprises connectors on a display frame which drop into mounts of a display support. The mounting may include a locking mechanism. An alignment configuration is also provided, such as for aligning different gaming machine components such as two video displays and/or light rings, trim or the like, relative to one another in three dimensions.

Information processor and server capable of displaying an image with a redisplay button

A server comprises a storage unit for storing a plurality of image data, a first end input request image data including a redisplay setting image for setting whether to display the image on the information processor again or not and a first end request image for ending the display of the image, a second end input request image data including a second end request image for rejecting the redisplay of the image and ending the display of the image, and association data in which one of the first end input request image data and the second end input request image data is stored in association with the types of the plurality of image data, and a controller for executing a process of transmitting any one image data of the plurality of image data and either the first end input request image data or the second end input request image data associated based on the association data corresponding to the image data to the information processor.

Systems and methods for game state retention and continuation at electronic gaming machines

An electronic gaming machine includes a display device and a processor configured to execute instructions stored in a memory, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to generate a game-state-retention sign based upon a plurality of game variables representing a state of a wagering game, where the game-state-retention sign includes a first two-dimensional machine-recognisable image that encodes the plurality of game variables. When executed, the instructions also cause the processor to display the game-state-retention sign on the display device for image capture by a handheld player device, where the handheld player device is configured to display a game-continuation sign generated from the game-state-retention sign for resuming play of the wagering game.
