A system and method for operating a game of chance. A gaming system includes a primary game display and secondary game display with the secondary game display mapped with prize blocks arranged in a grid that may generally mimic a primary game grid. The prize blocks can be represented as characters, articles, numeral values, symbols and the like. Each prize block is assigned a prize value and a health value. When the health value of a prize block is exhausted based on primary game outcomes, the prize block is destroyed and removed awarding its corresponding prize value. New prize blocks fill the void left by removed prize blocks or the void remains as a space without any assigned prize value. A bonus trigger model also serves to reduce “cold streaks” during which players may lose interest.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LINKED PROGRESSIVE SPINS IN ELECTRONIC GAMING
An electronic gaming system including a plurality of electronic gaming devices and a progressive controller in communication with the plurality of electronic gaming devices is described. The progressive controller causes display of a number of linked progressive free spins at each electronic gaming device of the plurality of electronic gaming devices and determines, during an electronic game, that a progressive symbol is displayed on a display device of at least one electronic gaming device of the plurality of electronic gaming devices. The progressive controller also causes the number of linked progressive free spins to be increased to an updated number of linked progressive free spins and, based upon the updated number of linked progressive free spins, causes display of the updated number of linked progressive free spins at each electronic gaming device of the plurality of electronic gaming devices.
Gaming machine and method with persistent award modifier triggered and modified by appearance of a catalyst symbol
There is provided a gaming system, gaming machine, and method that utilize an electronic display device configured to display a plurality of symbol-bearing reels and an indicator bearing a pay multiplier. For each spin outcome, the reels are spun and stopped to land symbols in an array. In response to the landed symbols including a catalyst symbol, the values on any value-bearing symbols in the array are multiplied by the pay multiplier and awarded, and the pay multiplier is then modified for a subsequent spin outcome(s) based on the type, e.g., color, of the catalyst symbol. In response to the landed symbols not including the catalyst symbol, no awards are provided for any value-bearing symbols in the array, and the pay multiplier stays the same for a subsequent spin outcome(s) until a catalyst symbol lands in the array.
MECHANISMS THAT ENABLE A USER CONFIGURABLE SLOT TYPE CONCATENATION GAME
Rather than typical slot type games where specific matching combinations of symbols along paylines through a row-by-column grid or matrix indicate the outcome of the game, a slot type concatenation game concatenates value symbols along a payline to form a numerical outcome.
