PATIENT SUPPORT APPARATUSES WITH RECONFIGURABLE COMMUNICATION
A patient support apparatus includes a frame, support surface, cable interface, switches, a location detector, and a controller. The switches are electrically coupled to the interface and the controller selects a configuration for the plurality of switches based on a current location of the patient support apparatus within a healthcare facility. Alternatively or additionally, a user interface may display a plurality of identifiers that each identifies a predefined configuration for the switches wherein the controller configures the switches according to an identifier selected by the user. A transceiver on board the patient support apparatus may communicate with different fixed transmitters and the controller may implement different switch configurations based on messages from the different fixed transmitters.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING ELECTRONIC DEVICE
An electronic device for changing a notification mode and a method therefor are provided. The electronic device includes communication circuitry, at least one processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions, when executed, configured to cause the at least one processor to establish communication with a wearable device through the communication circuitry, and upon identifying a change in an operation state of the wearable device, change from a first notification mode of the electronic device to a second notification mode according to the identified operation state of the wearable device.
Wireless doorbell set
A wireless doorbell set includes a wearable ringer (transmitter) and a wireless doorbell receiver, which is responsive to a ring signal transmitted to the receiver from the wearable ringer. The wearable ringer is configured with a removable bracket that may be mounted to a wall such that the wearable ringer may be attached to the removable bracket on the wall, to temporarily position the ringer thereon when it is not worn by a user, and to remove and separate the wearable ringer from the wall-mounted bracket when the user wishes to wear the wearable ringer, for example, on a lanyard that may be placed over the user's head. The wireless doorbell receiver receives the ring signal from the wearable ringer and generates a sound, a light signal or both.
Virtual reality systems
Measures, including methods, systems, processors and computer programs, for use in operating a virtual reality user device. A change in a real world environment in which a user of the virtual reality user device is physically located is detected. In response to the detection, an alert mechanism is initiated at the virtual reality user device to alert the user of the change detected in the real world environment.
EMBEDDED ELECTRONICS FOR FASHION ACCESSORIES AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE
A fashion accessory can include an electronic circuit embedded within the fashion accessory, where the electronic circuit can be configured to receive a wireless signal from an electronic device that is operatively coupled to the electronic circuit, the wireless signal indicating an incoming message to the electronic device. An indicator on an exterior of the fashion accessory can be electrically responsive to the electronic circuit receiving the wireless signal.
MOBILE TERMINAL DISPLAY OPTIONS FOR VEHICLE TELLTALES
Alternative display options for vehicle telltales are disclosed. In one aspect, a fault condition in a telltale is detected, and the telltale is presented through a secondary display system in the vehicle, potentially bypassing any local control unit for the secondary display system. For example, a video telltale may be presented on an infotainment display after detection of a fault in the original telltale. By presenting the telltale in an alternate display, the operator remains informed of sensor conditions in the automobile and may take remedial action to fix the fault as well as any conditions which trigger a telltale.

CULINARY MAPPING TOOL FOR DETECTING COOKING STATUS IN POT AND CULINARY MAPPING AND EVALUATION METHOD
A culinary mapping tool for detecting cooking status in a pot, comprising a sound sensor (21) capable of directly or indirectly collecting audio signal within a pot body (11) of a cooking pot, and a spectrum analysis terminal for receiving the signal from the sound sensor (21). The spectrum analysis terminal comprises an audio receiver (22), a filter (23), an audio converter (26), and an audio spectrum output device connect in sequence for signal transmissions. Owing to the sound sensor (21) configured to collect audio signal from the pot body (11) of the cooking pot, a user can hear a degree of doneness of food and gain knowledge of cooking status of the food in the pot without opening the pot. The signal collected by the sound sensor (21) is received by the spectrum analysis terminal, and is then subject to noise filtering performed by the filter (23) and conversion to form an audio spectrum segment. The audio spectrum segment can be displayed in various audible or visible formats so as to provide a more direct sound or view for understanding the cooking status within the pot, thereby offering an ergonomic means of assessing and determining a degree of doneness of food. A culinary mapping and evaluation method is also provided which allows visual understanding of cooking status within a pot and can be used to evaluate a degree of doneness of food.
