Acousto-magnetic anti-theft label with embossed features on the upper surface and method of manufacture
An anti-theft AM label is formed with a housing that includes concave and/or convex patterns and wordings on the upper surface thereof. The concave and/or convex patterns and wordings provide a different appearance for anti-theft AM labels that can deter shoplifters from finding and removing the labels from the goods the labels are protecting. The concave and/or convex patterns can be the logo of the store in which the labels are used. The upper surface of the housing can be formed with a cold forming process or a hot forming process. The shape of the housing can be varied between square, rectangular, circular, sector and oval configurations, as desired by the customer. The depth of the patterns and words relative to a flat portion of the upper surface of the housing is in the range of 0.05-1.0 mm or, more preferably, in the range of 0.2-1.0 mm.
Electronic theft-preventing system and method
An electronic theft-preventing system, including a first and a second multi-axis magnetometer and configured to output first and second vector signals representing movement of first and second magnetic field vectors; and a signal processor receiving the first and second vector signals, and configured to determine a multi-dimensional transformation, in accordance with optimization of a difference between the second vector signal and a compensation signal; wherein the compensation signal is generated from a transformation of the first vector signal in accordance with the multi-dimensional transformation; and generate a compensated second vector signal from the second vector signal and the first compensation signal. Determining that a detector signal meets a predefined criterion; and in response to at least the determining that the detector signal meets the predefined criterion, raising or forgo raising an alarm that warns about a possible theft-related event.
ELLIPTICALLY-SHAPED RESONATOR MARKERS WITH ENHANCED FREQUENCY STABILITY AND GAIN
A magnetoelastic resonator device comprises a housing, at least one elliptically-shaped or substantially elliptically-shaped magnetoelastic element disposed within the housing, and at least one bias magnet disposed in the housing, wherein the at least one elliptically-shaped or substantially elliptically-shaped magnetoelastic element is configured to couple to an external magnetic field at a particular frequency and convert the magnetic energy into mechanical energy, in the form of oscillations.
Security tag
A security tag including a flexible member that can be formed into a loop to attach the security tag to an article. A security tag comprises: a main body comprising a casing that comprises a first aperture proximate a first end wall and a second aperture proximate a second end wall; an elongate flexible member, a first end of the flexible member extending through the first aperture; a releasable locking mechanism in the main body and associated with the second aperture, the locking mechanism configured to retain a second end of the flexible member; and two electronic article surveillance sensors within the casing, the sensors on opposite sides of a plane disposed halfway between the first and second apertures. When the second end of the flexible member is retained in the casing by the locking mechanism, a centre of gravity of the main body lies in the plane.
RECORDING MEDIUM
A recording medium is provided, such as paper, secured by magnetic microwires. The recording medium comprises: a pulp structure formed by pulp fibers, said pulp structure carrying microwires having a metal core of a predetermined material composition, and an insulating layer coating on said metal core; and at least one coating layer on at least one side of said pulp structure. The pulp structure is a single-layer structure with the microwires fully embedded in said single layer, the microwires having cross-sectional dimensions approximately equal to cross-sectional dimensions of the pulp fibers.
Acoustic magnetic tag
An acoustic magnetic tag includes a housing, a resonant sheet, and a biasing magnetic sheet received in the main body. The housing includes a main body having an opening, a first connecting portion connected to one side of the main body, a second connecting portion connected to an other side of the main body opposite to the one side, a partition connected to the first connecting portion, and a cover connected to the second connecting portion. The partition is rotated relative to the main body to be received in the main body by folding the first connecting portion, and the cover is rotated relative to the main body to cover the opening by folding the second connecting portion. The partition is positioned between the resonant sheet and the biasing magnetic sheet.
Marker with a bone shaped magnetic core
Systems (100) and methods (1700) for providing a marker (102). The methods comprise forming a magnetic core (200) having a bone shape defined by two end portions (208, 212) and a center potion (210) disposed between the two end portions. The end portions each have a cross-sectional area larger than a cross-sectional area of the center portion. A coil (224) is disposed around the center portion. The coil is coupled to a passive electronic component (206) so as to form a resonator. The resonator is disposed in a housing (126) of the marker. The resonator resonates when an interrogation signal is produced by a transmitter circuit (112) located remote from and in proximity to the marker, whereby a variation in a magnetic field occurs.
