Dual mode EAS/RFID tag based on self tuning RFID chip

A self-tuning RFID device having an input capacitance that is adjustable in response to a detected signal. The self-tuning RFID device preferably comprises a variable capacitance RFID chip coupled to an inductor, and an input circuit driven by the detected signal from the variable capacitance RFID chip. A change in capacitance with the detected signal is delayed by a specific amount of time, thereby allowing the self-tuning RFID device to function as a dual mode EAS and RFID tag. The ESA functionality can be deactivated by a high field at or near its resonance frequency without disabling the RFID functionality. The effect of the high field may change the input capacitance permanently changing its resonance.

An electrical switch with a conductive bridge, a first wire configured to provide continuity with the conductive bridge, and a biasing member connected to the first wire. The biasing member provides a threshold reaction force to maintain continuity between the first wire and the conductive bridge. The switch further includes a housing that directs tensile forces acting upon the first wire to oppose a reaction force of the biasing member. When a tensile force acting on the first wire exceeds a threshold reaction force of the biasing member continuity between the first wire and the conductive bridge is broken.

INDUCTION-BASED DATA IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM CHARACTERIZED BY REAL-TIME RESPONSE

The present invention provides an induction-based data identification system characterized by real-time response, including: a plurality of mobile identity terminals that can be carried, a gateway system and a background computer. The system configuration and method process of the invention are reasonable; it has both the features of recording any update status data of the objects and real-time response without affected by large amount of information; in addition, the mobile identity terminal has a low power consumption, suitable for the occasions of long-time use, such as anti-theft systems of shopping malls, places of detention, warehouse management, etc.

ANTI-THEFT DEVICE WITH REMOTE ALARM FEATURE

An anti-theft device with a remote alarm feature is provided. The device is configured to attach to an item of retail merchandise and detect when a predetermined motion and light condition are met which together are indicative of a potential retail theft. Upon detection, the device is configured to generate a local alarm, and send a radio frequency to a remote device to generate an alarm at the remote device.

EAS device with installation switch and activating base

An electronic article surveillance device with an electronics housing and base attaches to an article to be protected. The housing and base have connecting interfaces which act together to attach the housing to the base. The housing has a switch on the underside and the base has an aperture partially covered by a flexible tab that aligns with the switch. The flexible tab normally protrudes away from the bottom surface of the base. When the base is attached to an article, the tab is pushed back into the aperture. When the housing is attached to the base, the switch contacts the tab. If the EAS device is removed from the base without disarming the device, the tab moves out of the aperture and allows the switch to detect the removal. The EAS device then issues an alarm. The flexible tab may a piercing element to pierce plastic wrapping, if present.

A theft-proof packaging system includes a product package including a compartment configured to encapsulate a product. The compartment is in a non-surrounding environmental state, the non-surrounding environmental state being either pneumatically pressurized above a surrounding environment or pneumatically vacuumized below the surrounding environment. A pressure sensor inside the compartment includes a switch, the switch configured to disconnect and connect a power source to a transmitter, wherein the switch is configured to disconnect the power source from the transmitter in the presence of the non-surrounding environmental state inside the compartment and the switch is configured to connect the power source to the transmitter when the compartment equalizes to the surrounding environment. A receiving unit is disposed remote from the product package and receives the signal from the transmitter and sounds an alarm. A passive RFID tag may be located within the compartment and detected when passing through a walk-through scanner.

Smart anti-theft tag for boots

Embodiments described herein relate to an anti-theft device for commodities, and aims to provide a smart anti-theft tag for boots. The tag can effectively prevent boots from being stolen and is reliable in performance, exquisite in structure and easy to use. According to the technical solution, the smart anti-theft tag for boots comprises a tag holder provided with a circuit board, a sounder component, a coil and a battery, and a hoop assembly movably mounted on the tag holder to be tied on and connected to a heel of a boot, a bolt assembly movably located in the tag holder and used for unidirectional control of the movement of the hoop assembly, and a lock assembly movably located in the tag holder and used to lock the bolt assembly in a moving state.

EAS DEVICE WITH CONDUCTIVE SEALING TAPE
20170270758 · 2017-09-21 ·

An electronic article surveillance apparatus for monitoring boxes, crates, and other items having lids is comprised of a base, an electronics housing, and a sealing tape for sealing the lid. The sealing tape is fixed to the base. Adhesive on the base and sealing tape allow them to be fixed to a box. The sealing tape is placed over the edge of the lid. The sealing tape has a conductive loop within it and the ends of the conductive loop terminate on the base. The electronics housing mounts to the base and contacts on the electronics housing contact the ends of the loop to complete a circuit. The electronics within the housing monitor the integrity of the sealing tape. If the sealing tape is torn, the electronics interpret that as an attempt to open the box and remove its contents. The electronics then generate an alarm.
