Systems and methods of alternating transmitter for metal foil detection near moving doors
A system may include a security controller communicatively coupled with pedestals having a first set of antennas and a second set of antennas spaced from the first set of antennas to form an interrogation zone. The security controller may be configured to alternate transmission and reception of interrogation signals between the first set of antennas and the second set of antennas. The security controller may be configured to determine whether a metal object is detected in the interrogation zone in response to the reception of the interrogation signals by the second set of antennas or by the first set of antennas. The security controller may be configured to generate and send an alarm signal in response to the metal object being detected in the interrogation zone.
ANTI-THEFT DEVICE WITH REMOTE ALARM FEATURE
An anti-theft device with a remote alarm feature is provided. The device is configured to attach to an item of retail merchandise and detect when a predetermined motion and light condition are met which together are indicative of a potential retail theft. Upon detection, the device is configured to generate a local alarm, and send a radio frequency to a remote device to generate an alarm at the remote device.
AN ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR FITTING ROOMS
An arrangement and a method for observing fitting rooms (100) and/or fitting areas (200), wherein following steps are performed in the method: detecting number, type, size and/or colour of products brought to the fitting room and/or fitting area by detecting presence of remotely readable identification tags, electronic article surveillance tags and/or electronic price labels in the fitting room and/or fitting area (200) and reading product information linked to the remotely readable identification tag, electronic article surveillance tag and/or electronic price label, comparing detected number, type, size and/or colour of products to predefined criteria, the criteria relating to the number, type, size and/or colour of products, and generating an alarm based on the detected number, type, size and/or colour of products if at least one predefined criterion is fulfilled.
Solar panel efficiency and security monitoring device
A system for monitoring efficiency and security of a solar array includes a voltage-based monitoring circuit and a photoelectric sensor. The system detects a voltage across the solar array and compares the voltage to changes in light detected by the photoelectric sensor. In response to reduced light detected at the photoelectric sensor, the system generates a low-efficiency alarm. In response to reduced voltage while light detected by the photoelectric sensor remains constant, the system generates a security alarm signal. The system may also include a PIR sensor, an RFID reader, and a solar panel circuit including the solar panels of the solar array. In response to an infrared alarm at the PIR sensor, an unauthorized alarm at the RFID reader, and an open circuit alarm signal of the solar panel circuit, and the security alarm signal, the system may transmit a master alarm to a monitoring center.
ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR FITTING ROOMS
An arrangement and method for fitting rooms and/or fitting areas. The arrangement includes detecting arrival, departure and/or presence of a person to/from a fitting room and/or fitting area and for detecting presence and/or number of remotely readable identification tags, electronic article surveillance tags and/or electronic price labels. The method includes detecting entrance or presence of a person to a fitting room and/or fitting area, detecting presence and/or number of remotely readable identification tags, electronic article surveillance tags and/or electronic price labels in the fitting room and/or fitting area after the entrance of a person to the fitting room and/or fitting area detecting departure of a person from a fitting room and/or fitting area and detecting presence and/or number of remotely readable identification tags, electronic article surveillance tags and/or electronic price labels in the fitting room and/or fitting area after departure of the person.
SYSTEM FOR AND METHOD OF SENSING AND RESPONDING TO EMERGENCIES IN A VENUE
A sensing unit mounted at a venue can capture images of targets in the venue, and/or can sonically locate targets in the venue, and/or can read targets configured as radio frequency (RF) identification (RFID) tags in the venue. A control arrangement recognizes whether at least one of the targets is indicative of an emergency in the venue, and automatically executes a remedial action in response to the recognized emergency.
Package protection using existing security system
A computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a base station of a security system, an identification of a shipment package, the identification received from a first security sensor that is part of the security system. The method further includes adding, by the base station, a shipment device of the shipment package as a second security sensor of the security system. The method further includes configuring, by the base station, the shipment device in protect-mode, wherein the shipment device sounds an alarm in response to the shipment being displaced by at least a predetermined distance when in the protect-mode. The method further includes reconfiguring, by the base station, the shipment device in safe-mode in response to receiving, from a customer associated with the shipment package, a confirmation signal that the shipment package has been safely received.
SERVER AND METHOD FOR MANAGING OBJECTS
A managing method includes establishing a relationship between basic information of each object of a plurality of objects and each positioning tag of a plurality of positioning tags, wherein the basic information of each object comprising status information of the each object. Position information is obtained from each positioning tag and the status information of each object is obtained at every predetermined time. Once at least one object of the plurality of objects is determined not located in a predetermined area and the at least one object is in an approved state, the positioning tag corresponding to the at least one object is controlled to transmit an alarm.
Wireless item loss prevention system
An item loss prevention system for protecting from the loss of items from a user, and more specifically to an electronic device utilizing a wireless connection between a remote unit attached to an item, such as a set of one or more keys, and a host or belt unit attached to the user, to prevent the loss of the item. The system includes magnetic sensors between the item and the belt, which are Hall type magnetic sensors, coupled with an accelerometer. With the additional input from the accelerometer, an alarm activates when the item, such as a key, is separated at a distance from the belt or host unit. Additionally, the key unit can attach to an unpairing station to re-set the remote unite for re-pairing to another host unit.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
An information processing device (10) includes an image acquisition unit (110) that acquires an image obtained by capturing a vicinity of a merchandise self-checkout system, and a detection unit (120) that detects a presence or absence of a plurality of persons within a first area in the vicinity of the merchandise self-checkout system during a time period between a start and end of a merchandise self-checkout process based on the acquired image.
