Aspects of the present disclosure include methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media for identifying one or more authorized signal characteristic associated with at least one authorized RF signal, receiving at least one incoming RF signal having one or more incoming signal characteristic, identifying the one or more incoming signal characteristic, determining a presence of the unauthorized RF device based on at least one of the one or more authorized signal characteristic or the one or more incoming signal characteristic, and activating an alarm in response to determining the presence of the unauthorized RF device.

A system may include a security controller communicatively coupled with pedestals having a first set of antennas and a second set of antennas spaced from the first set of antennas to form an interrogation zone. The security controller may be configured to alternate transmission and reception of interrogation signals between the first set of antennas and the second set of antennas. The security controller may be configured to determine whether a metal object is detected in the interrogation zone in response to the reception of the interrogation signals by the second set of antennas or by the first set of antennas. The security controller may be configured to generate and send an alarm signal in response to the metal object being detected in the interrogation zone.

A delivery management system includes: an authentication unit that authenticates a user; a storage unit that stores identification information on an article stored in a storage area that is a target article associated with the user; and a control unit that, when an article carried out by the authenticated user from the storage area is the same as the target article, permits the user to exit the storage area.

Example aspects include a method, a system, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium for operating an automated checkout system to be performed by a processing circuit, comprising determining a user account associated with a shopper. The aspects further include receiving, from a sensor, a first indication that an object passed through a location of a building. The first indication having been generated based on a tag coupled with the object. The sensor being configured to detect characteristics of objects. The sensor being located at the location of the building. The aspects further include receiving, from the sensor, a second indication that the shopper associated with the user account passed through the location. Additionally, the aspects further include associating the object with the user account based on the first indication and the second indication.

Methods and systems to detect items left in merchandise carriers are disclosed. A disclosed example system includes: an input device configured to receive an indication that a merchandise carrier is to be empty from at least one of a user or a device communicatively coupled to the input device; an overhead imaging device configured to capture an image of the merchandise carrier at a checkout station in response to the indication; an image processor configured to detect based on the image an obscuration of a portion of the merchandise carrier by the presence of an item in the merchandise carrier, and generate an alert signal when the portion of the merchandise carrier is obscured; and an output device configured to receive the alert signal and provide a notification of the presence of the item in the merchandise carrier.

A currency bait pack for tracking stolen currency bundles is activated by movement of the bait pack from a magnetic mounting in a teller drawer to transmit location information using GPS. The bait pack can include a power switch to isolate the battery power source from the GPS tracking device, or can include rechargeable batteries, or both.

Systems and methods for detecting potential theft and identifying individuals having a history of committing theft are presented. An electromagnetic emission associated with a personal electronic device associated with an individual is received. One or more signal properties of the electromagnetic emission are analyzed to determine an emission signature. Video data and video analytics are utilized to determine whether an individual has taken possession of an item. The video analytics are correlated with the emission signature in an attempt to identify the individual having possession of the item. The emission signature and video data are stored for later use during a checkout procedure. If an emission signature detected at a checkout station matches that of the individual having possession of the item, and the item is not processed through the checkout station, an alert is issued and the individual is flagged as a potential shoplifter.

A delivery management system includes: an authentication unit that authenticates a user; a storage unit that stores identification information on an article stored in a storage area that is a target article associated with the user; and a control unit that, when an article carried out by the authenticated user from the storage area is the same as the target article, permits the user to exit the storage area.

An article display system includes display furniture on which articles can be displayed. A first sensor detects states of the articles on the display furniture and is fixed to the display furniture. A second sensor detects a moving body within a monitoring region. The second sensor is fixed to the display furniture. A storage device stores coordinate information representing a position of the display furniture and the monitoring region. A control device is configured to identify, based on detection results from the first and second sensors, an article having a state that has changed and the moving body that changed the state of the article. The coordinate information is represented by a coordinate system having an origin set at a corner of on the piece of display furniture.
