Terminal device
A terminal device is disclosed that is mountable in a vehicle. The terminal device comprises an acquirer, storage and a controller. The acquirer acquires, from the vehicle, i) traveling direction information indicating traveling directions of the vehicle in accordance with movement of the vehicle and ii) winker direction information indicating a winker direction indicated by a direction indicator of the vehicle. The controller i) stores in the storage the traveling direction information indicating a first traveling direction of the traveling directions, the first traveling direction being acquired when the acquirer has acquired the winker direction information, and ii) updates the traveling direction information indicating the first traveling direction with the traveling direction information indicating a second traveling direction, the second traveling direction being acquired after the acquirer has acquired the winker direction information, when the second traveling direction indicates a direction opposite to the winker direction.
Vehicular traffic alerts for avoidance of abnormal traffic conditions
Methods and systems are described for generating a vehicle-to-vehicle traffic alert. Various aspects may include detecting that an abnormal traffic condition exists in an operating environment of a vehicle and generating a related electronic message. The electronic message may be transmitted via the vehicle's transceiver using a wireless communication to a nearby vehicle to alert the nearby vehicle of the abnormal traffic condition and to allow the nearby vehicle to avoid the abnormal traffic condition.
METHOD OF PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO DRIVER BASED ON HIGH-DEFINITION MAP OF ROAD, AND VEHICLE INTERCOMMUNICATION SYSTEM APPLYING METHOD
A method providing driving assistance based on a high-definition road map acquires information such as real time position of a vehicle, real time driving speed, and real-time information of upcoming road intersections. The intersection information includes traffic light information. Determinations as to whether the vehicle can safely pass through the intersection based on the real-time driving speed, and distances to and across the intersection are made, and it is also determined whether safe passage through the intersection is possible. An information intercommunication platform generates warnings to the vehicle being driven and other relevant when a crash is deemed likely between two vehicles, based on the determinations from the relevant vehicles which are in a specified range. A vehicle intercommunication system applying the method is also disclosed.
Wireless Vehicle Data-Enhanced Micro-Navigation Lane Suggestion
The disclosure includes implementations for providing a micro-navigation suggestion. The method may include receiving a wireless message that includes sensor data that describes a traffic event affecting a route of travel for a vehicle. The wireless message may include a Dedicated Short Range Communication message. The wireless message may include a full-duplex wireless message received during a full-duplex operation mode of a full-duplex coordination system included in the vehicle. The vehicle and the traffic event may be present on a roadway included in the route of travel for the vehicle. The traffic event may be located in a direction where the vehicle is traveling. The method may include analyzing the sensor data included in the wireless message to determine a micro-navigation suggestion for a driver of the vehicle. The method may include providing the micro-navigation suggestion to the driver.
Road hazard communication
Apparatus, systems, and/or methods may involve reporting a road hazard. Road hazard data may be collected for an object on a road, which may include automatically generated data from a device associated with the object causing a hazard. The road hazard data may be provided to a service, an application, a device, a client, and so on. For example, the road hazard data may be merged with a map and provided to a map services client, a navigation client, and so on. An alert may be generated based on the road hazard data to warn of the hazard caused by the object. The alert may include a visual and/or audio representation of the hazard data. The alert may be used to automatically and/or manually avoid the hazard.
AUTOMATIC DRIVING SYSTEM
The present invention provides an automatic driving system capable of clearly identifying the factors responsible for causing an abnormality such as an accident or malfunction of a vehicle during automatic driving after the fact. The automatic driving system automatically selects, from each automatic driving function provided in the vehicle or each level of driving automation into which each automatic driving function is classified, an automatic driving function or a level of driving automation according to the circumstances surrounding the vehicle or the driving state of the vehicle, automatically performs a part of or the entirety of a vehicle driving operation to automatically drive the vehicle, and, remembers the time of automatic driving and information indicating the selected automatic driving function or level of driving automation at that time.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD
A method executed by a computer includes outputting, by a processor, information representing a position of a spot that is ahead, in a traveling direction of a vehicle, of an occurrence spot on the basis of a position of the occurrence spot and the traveling direction of the vehicle at an occurrence time of an incident of a sudden stepping on a brake, the occurrence spot being of the incident of the sudden stepping on the brake and the position of the occurrence spot and the traveling direction of the vehicle having been determined on the basis of acceleration and a position measured by a sensor provided to the vehicle.
MOVE OVER SLOW DRIVERS
A method and system for logging and reporting on slow drivers in fast and middle lanes is disclosed. The system detects a slow vehicle in front of an automobile based on speed data from an OBD system, stores images of a rear of the slow vehicle using a forward facing video camera, detects passing of the slow vehicle on the left side of the automobile using a proximity sensor, stores images of a front of the slow vehicle using a rear facing video camera, after the automobile has passed the slow vehicle, stores global position data of the automobile using a GPS system, and transmits the speed data, the images of the rear of the slow vehicle, images of the front of the slow vehicle and the global position data that was taken and stored to the third party via the communications network, using the transmitter.
Server for providing a vehicle content sharing service and a content sharing method
A content sharing server provides a vehicle content sharing service and a method thereof. The content sharing server for providing a vehicle content sharing service includes a communication device that receives content sharing information including vehicle identification information, content information reproducible in a vehicle, and driving information from at least one content receiving vehicle. The content sharing server further includes a content sharing controller that stores the content sharing information, searches for a plurality of content providing vehicles that store content to be reproduced in the at least one content receiving vehicle, divides the content based on the plurality of content providing vehicles, and downloads, to the at least one content receiving vehicle, the divided content uploaded from the plurality of content providing vehicles in order of preset priority.
Server, System, and Method for Determining a Position of an End of a Traffic Jam
A system and method is provided for determining a position of an end of a traffic jam using traffic measurement data received from a plurality of vehicle and at least one sigmoid function. A system server configured to execute the method includes a computer unit, a memory, a receiving unit for receiving a plurality of measured data, each having one position data indication of a vehicle.
