Pharmaceutical compositions comprising a thyroid hormone beta agonist, method of use and method making thereof
A pharmaceutical formulation contains the following components in part by weight: (a) 1 part of the compound represented by Formula (I), ##STR00001## (b) 16 to 600 parts of a meltable and dispersible carrier comprising poloxamer and polyethylene glycol in a poloxamer-to-polyethylene glycol weight ratio of 1-0.5 to 1:27, and (c) 0.2 to 100 parts of a non-volatile weak acid. The pharmaceutical formulation helps to improve the in vitro dissolution of the compound of Formula (I).
DELAYED RELEASE SOFTGEL CAPSULES
Delayed release softgel capsules comprise a fill material and a pH dependent shell composition, characterized in that the delayed release nature of the capsules may be achieved without a pH dependent coating or added conventional pH dependent polymers.
Lactuloside compounds and preparation and use thereof
The present disclosure relates to the field of pharmaceutical chemistry, and particularly to a compound represented by Formula (I), a preparation method and medical use thereof. In the compound represented by Formula (I), a lactulosyl group is connected to a heteroatom of genin (G) via a glycosidic bond, wherein the genin (G) is a group formed by removing one hydrogen atom from a heteroatom of an active pharmaceutical molecule, and “” indicates that the lactulosyl group is connected to the heteroatom of the genin (G) via an α-glycosidic bond or a β-glycosidic bond. Pharmacokinetic experiments prove that the lactuloside compound according to the present disclosure can pass through the gastrointestinal tract of a mammal without being absorbed significantly by the gastrointestinal tract and hydrolyzed significantly by endogenous enzymes of a mammal host. Therefore, the lactuloside compound can arrive at the colon site of the mammal, and release an active drug in the colon under the action of colon flora. The lactuloside compound has a function of colon-localized drug release, and can be used for preventing or treating an intestinal disease. ##STR00001##
VITAMIN AND MINERAL SOFTGEL CAPSULE PREPARATIONS COMPRISING VITAMIN C IN THE FORM OF AN ASCORBATE SALT
The present invention provides a composition, preferably a dietary or pharmaceutical composition, comprising or consisting of vitamin(s) (a), and optionally minerals (b), and a pharmaceutically or dietetically suitable carrier such as nutrients DHA and/or EPA (c), encapsulated in a soft gelatine such as a bovine, porcine, vegetable and succinylated gelatine shell, wherein the vitamin(s) include Vitamin C and said Vitamin C is, at least in part, in the form of an ascorbate salt such as, but not limited to, Calcium ascorbate or any other divalent cation salt such as Magnesium ascorbate.
INHIBITORS OF LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT PROTEIN TYROSINE PHOSPHATASE (LMPTP) AND USES THEREOF
Protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) are key regulators of metabolism and insulin signaling. As a negative regulator of insulin signaling, the low molecular weight protein tyrosine phosphatase (LMPTP) is a target for insulin resistance and related conditions. Described herein are compounds capable of modulating the level of activity of LMPTP, compositions, and methods of using these compounds and compositions.
TETRAHYDROCYCLOPENTA[B]INDOLE COMPOUNDS FOR TREATMENT OF RENAL DISEASE
Methods of treating renal disease or treating at least one of muscle wasting, low muscle strength, or low physical function in a subject having renal disease by administering at least one tetrahydrocyclopenta[b]indole compound are disclosed. Also disclosed are methods of treating symptoms as a result of secondary hypogonadism induced by renal replacement therapy or kidney failure in a subject having renal disease by administering at least one tetrahydrocyclopenta[b]indole compound. The methods of treatment disclosed herein also include co-administration of the tetrahydrocyclopenta[b]indole compound with a second composition
Methods of treating cancer using PRMT5 inhibitors
The present disclosure provides methods for treating a human patient diagnosed with a cancer, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a PRMT5 (protein arginine methyltransferase 5) inhibitor, certain methods comprising (i) administering to the patient initial doses of at least about 0.1 mg per day of the PRMT5 inhibitor that is (1S,2R,3S,5R)-3-(2-(2-amino-3-bromoquinolin-7-yl)ethyl)-5-(4-amino-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-7-yl)cyclopentane-1,2-diol or a pharmaceutically acceptable addition salt or solvate thereof for an initial dosing period of about 5 to about 21 days; and (ii) administering to the patient subsequent doses of at least about 0.1 mg per day of the PRMT5 inhibitor for one or more subsequent dosing periods of about 5 to about 21 days each. In these methods, a first subsequent dosing period is separated in time from the initial dosing period by at least about 5 days and the subsequent dosing periods are separated in time from each other by at least about 5 days.
EGFR INHIBITORS
The application provides a compound having the general formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, compositions including the compound and methods of using the compound. The compound of formula (I) can be used as a medicament.
Compositions comprising a fatty acid oil mixture and a surfactant, and methods and uses thereof
A preconcentrate comprising a fatty acid oil mixture that contains EPA and DHA, preferably in the form of ethyl ester or triglyceride, and at least one surfactant. The preconcentrates are capable of forming a self-nanoemulsifying drug delivery system, a self-microemulsifying drug delivery system or a self-emulsifying drug delivery system (SNEDDS, SMEDDS or SEDDS) in an aqueous solution.
