Pedal sound modification device
A pedal sound modification device is disclosed for varying an electrical signal. The device includes a plate pivotably coupled to a base. A slide potentiometer is coupled to the base and has a slider arm slidably engaging a linear potentiometer. The linear potentiometer extends between proximal slide end and a distal slide end. A linkage rod is pivotably coupled to the plate and the slide potentiometer for displacing the slide arm relative to the linear potentiometer upon a pivoting displacement of the plate relative to the base. The plate contacts the base for defining a proximal slide arm stop and positions the slide arm immediately adjacent to the proximal slide end for preventing damage to the slide potentiometer. The plate contacts the base for defining a distal slide arm stop and positions the slide arm immediately adjacent to the distal slide end for preventing damage to the slide potentiometer.
ELECTRIC, ELECTRO ACOUSTIC, OR ACOUSTIC DRUM WITH INTERNAL WIRING HARNESS
Electric, Electro Acoustic or Acoustic Drum with Internal Wiring Harness is disclosed herein. The drum comprises an internal wiring harness configuration. The internal wiring harness configuration comprises a plurality of first audio jacks that are mounted on an internal surface of the drum. The internal wiring harness configuration further comprises a connector assembly configuration comprising a plurality of second audio jacks and a multi-pin connector mounted on an external surface of the bass drum. Such configuration eliminates long cables and cumbersome wiring and provides a more natural and desirable connection to external processing.
Device for detecting the grip pattern when playing a bowed instrument, and bowed instrument comprising such a device
A device for detecting the grip pattern when playing a bowed instrument, having a sensor film arrangeable on the fingerboard for detecting the grip pattern. The sensor film is formed from at least one resistance layer, a conductive layer and a spacer layer arranged in-between, and having an evaluation circuit, by which evaluation circuit the resistance changes of the sensor film caused by the grip pattern are able to be detected. The resistance layer is divided into a number of resistance tracks corresponding to the number of strings of the bowed instrument. The width of each resistance track is formed increasing from one end of the sensor film to the other end of the sensor film, and the upper layer of the sensor film is formed by the conductive layer, and the sensor film has a curvature, corresponding to the arch of the fingerboard.
Electronic control arm for musical instruments
An electronic vibrato system for a stringed instrument comprises an actuator and microcontroller which are disposed within a chassis. The control arm moves the actuator from a resting position to non-resting, rotated positions. The system is below a face of a stringed instrument such that the system has a disposed fulcrum within the instrument. The rotated positions impart resistive forces on said actuator and imparting control signals. The microcontroller processes said control signal and modulates pitch.
Touch sensitive audio-visual input/output device and method
A touch sensitive audio-visual input/output device comprising an internal core comprising a controller, the controller associated with at least one processor and at least one memory store, at least one light emitter associated with the controller, at least one audio output component associated with the controller, at least one actuator provided relative to the housing and associated with the controller and configured to transmit touch inputs to the controller to control operation of the device, and a flexible, translucent outer casing for at least partially enclosing the internal core.
Switching device for electronic musical instrument
Provided is a switching device for an electronic musical instrument, comprising: a plurality of first electrodes that are adjacently arranged; a second electrode arranged between a pair of the plurality of first electrodes, and insulated from the plurality of first electrodes by a plurality of spaces; a rotatable actuator; and a conductive member configured to electrically connect the first electrodes and the second electrode according to rotation of the actuator. The plurality of spaces extend longitudinally in a first direction. The first direction is a direction between a rotational shaft direction of the actuator and a direction orthogonal to the rotational shaft direction.
Thumb Bar Controller
The Thumb Bar Controller is a bar that runs the width of the electronic musical keyboard playing area, (plus whatever is needed for the lever attachment), connected by two armsrests just below the top, and approximately one inch away from the keys. It gives the performer control over two (or more) functions with the thumb of the playing hand, that would otherwise require the other hand or foot pedals, allowing a person with the disabilty of one arm/hand, to be as proficient as a person with two. It can be used for controlling pitch bend, modulation, MIDI specification controllers, various electronic controls, and product specific controls.
The bar can be attached in numerous ways, could use a variety of spring type mechanisms to control it. It can be mounted externally or made as an integral part of the keyboard, with openings for the bar connections and movement required.
Digital musical instrument and method for making the same
A new and improved Digital Musical Instrument includes a hardware segment that electronically detects the physical inputs of a musicians musical playing style or articulated intent; a Software segment that interprets and formulates the data output from the hardware segment, to be applied to any digitally modulated synthesizer or recording sampler; and an optional expanded method of sampling or digitally recording articulated sounds of acoustic instruments.
Guard for Guitar Pickup Switch
A device includes a guard structure configured to mount to a body of a guitar proximate a pickup selector lever of a pickup selector mechanism of the guitar. The guard structure includes a hood and when the guard structure is mounted to the body of the guitar over the pickup selector lever, the hood is oriented away from a pickup of the guitar. In an embodiment, when the guard structure is mounted to the body of the guitar at least a portion of the pickup selector lever is positioned within an interior volume of the hood of the guard structure.
