Controller, sound source module, and electronic musical instrument
A controller to control an electronic musical instrument includes: first to third input units for a user to input play data and a frame having the first to third input units arranged therein. The frame has a wall surrounding an internal space, the wall has a three dimensional surface, the first to third input units configure one set, and the first to third input units configuring one such set are arranged adjacent in a circumferential direction of the three dimensional surface and the plurality of sets are arranged adjacent in a longitudinal direction of the three dimensional surface.
Electronic musical instruments, systems, and methods
This disclosure relates generally to electronic musical instruments, systems, and methods. More particularly, this disclosure relates to electronic percussion instruments such as tom toms, snare drums, bass drums, cymbals, and hi-hats, and assemblies of instruments (e.g., percussion instruments), such as drum sets. Some cymbals and hi-hats according to the present disclosure can be used in conjunction with a traditional acoustic metal cymbal. This disclosure also relates generally to devices and methods for operating electronic musical instrument systems including one or more musical instruments and a hub, and particularly to systems including wireless communication between the instrument(s) and hub. Various devices and methods are described for operating the system, including various operational modes of the devices, and including methods and techniques for connecting the devices, improving communication speed and robustness, and conserving power.
Electronic musical instruments
Electronic musical instruments as disclosed, include sensors to digitize and alter the sound using FSR sensors in the mouthpieces and other elements of the instrument to mimic the variations available in analog instruments.
ANALOG RECALL SYNTHESIZER HAVING PATCH AND KNOB RECALL
A sound generating analog synthesizer that is comprised of potentiometers, a switch or switches and a set of patch jacks has a control system that can be operated in three modes, a manual mode, an automatic mode, and a guided mode; wherein manual mode allows potentiometer and switch positions as well as patch cable connections to be set by hand; wherein automatic mode, automatically sets patch connections as on or off, as well as set potentiometer positions and switch states with electromechanical or electrical devices; and wherein the guided mode provides at least one visual information on how to change the potentiometer positions, switch states and patch jack connections such that a previously obtained sound can be reproduced.
ANALOG SYNTHESIZER PATCH MORPHING AND SIMULTANEOUS PARAMETER CONTROL THOUGH INPUT DEVICES
A sound generating analog synthesizer comprising a controller electronically connected to rotate at least one knob, actuate at least one switch, and make at least one patch connection; said knob comprising a drive system, a shaft position sensor, and a potentiometer; wherein said controller rotates at least one knob by generating instructions to said drive system; said at least one switch comprising an electronic connection to said controller to turn on or off said switch upon receiving instructions from said controller; and at least one patch connection, comprising at least one patch switch, wherein said at least one patch switch controls connection between at least one input of said patch and at least one output of said patch; and a control system to interpolate the potentiometer, switch and patch connections between at least two predetermined settings.

Magnetically secured cymbal trigger and choke assembly
An apparatus, system, and method for a magnetically and releaseably attachable trigger for an instrument is provided along with a choking device for use of the trigger in connection with a cymbal or like percussion device. The trigger and securing device are disposed on either side of a cymbal surface or a cymbal stand via magnetic force and the choking mechanism is in electrical connection with the trigger to interrupt the signal for choking purposes and is mounted on a surface of the cymbal to be choked.
HANDHELD ELECTRONIC MUSICAL PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT
An apparatus, system, and method for an electronic handheld musical instrument that generates electronic signals for processing by a processor-based module to generate musical sounds adapted to replicate non-electronic traditional hand percussion and other handheld instruments, is provided. A piezoelectric-based trigger is secured in an enclosed volume or enclosure formed in the electronic handheld musical instrument. When manipulated by a musician in a normal fashion, freely moving beads float or travel within the enclosure of the electronic handheld musical instrument and strike against a sensitive face of the piezoelectric transducer device to create a desired sound effect.
Electronic percussion instrument and method for controlling sound generation
An electronic percussion instrument to control generated sound in accordance with operation to the striking surface includes: a first sensor configured to detect a slapping operation on the striking surface; a second sensor configured to detect a contact operation to the striking surface; and a processor configured to control sound generated in response to detection of a slapping operation by the first sensor in accordance with a place of a contact operation to the striking surface detected by the second sensor.
