DEFORMABLE ULTRASOUND ARRAY AND SYSTEM

Disclosed is an ultrasound array comprising a plurality of ultrasound transducer elements (20) on a carrier (10), said carrier further carrying an actuator arrangement (30, 30) of a material having an adjustable shape in response to an electromagnetic stimulus, e.g. an electro active polymer or optically responsive polymer, wherein the material is arranged to change the orientation of said ultrasound transducer elements in response to said stimulus. This facilitates configurable beam shaping and/or body contour matching with the ultrasound array. An ultrasound system (100) comprising such an ultrasound array is also disclosed.

The present invention is directed to a mounting device for a fish finding apparatus and, more particularly, to a motorized mounting device which includes an adjustable length pole used to mount a sonar transducer or other device an angler may be interested in mounting to the end of the pole that enters the water. The pole is used to spin the transducer or other apparatus in a clockwise and counterclockwise direction with a switch that is adapted to be operated by the angler's foot or a wireless remote. The mounting device is configured to be secured to a boat or mounted on a boat troll motor whereby the adjustable pole is secured and spins independent of the troll motor shaft.

Disclosed herein is an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which includes a probe including a transducer installed to be rotatable, a driving device configured to rotate the transducer, at least one wire configured to transmit power of the driving device to the transducer, a handle case configured to accommodate the driving device therein, a cap coupled to the handle case to accommodate the transducer therein, and filled with oil, and a diaphragm formed of a deformable material and disposed between the cap and the handle case, wherein the wire is installed to pass through the diaphragm, and fixed to the diaphragm so that the diaphragm is deformed according to movement of the wire. Since the wire is fixedly installed to pass through the diaphragm and deformed according movement of the wire, oil in the cap is prevented from leaking to the handle case.

An ultrasound probe and an ultrasound imaging device are provided. In the ultrasound probe, a sound head assembly is accommodated in a housing, a base is accommodated in the housing, and a traction line is accommodated in the housing and connected to the sound head assembly. A traction mechanism is accommodated in the housing. In the traction mechanism, a traction wheel is disposed on the base and rotatable relative to the base for winding the traction line, so that the sound head assembly is driven to swing by the traction line. An elastic member is disposed on the traction wheel and fixedly connected to the traction line, so as to adjust the tension of the traction line when the elastic member elastically deforms.

HIFU applicator

An applicator for providing HIFU therapy to a patient includes a HIFU transducer that is rotatably coupled to a frame. In one embodiment, the rotatable coupling is configured such that the HIFU transducer can be mechanically oriented to position a focal zone of the HIFU transducer at any desired location in a treatment volume radially outward from a longitudinal axis of the applicator while the HIFU transducer remains within a housing that is not more than a defined percentage (e.g., 50%) larger than the maximum diameter of the HIFU transducer. In one embodiment, the HIFU transducer is rotatably coupled to the frame with a ball and socket joint. In another embodiment, the HIFU transducer is rotatably coupled to the frame with an offset gimble assembly. A pair of linear actuators and drive shafts engage the HIFU transducer to orient HIFU transducer in a desired direction.

Disclosed is an ultrasonic probe including a transducer array connected to a rotation shaft, a motor provided to rotate the transducer array around the rotation shaft, a printed circuit board provided to output a driving signal for driving the transducer array, and a flexible printed circuit board electrically connected to the printed circuit board to transmit the driving signal to the transducer array, wherein the flexible printed circuit board includes an array terminal electrically connected to the transducer array, a first terminal electrically connected to one portion of the printed circuit board, a first connection part connecting the array terminal and the first terminal, a second terminal electrically connected to the other portion of the printed circuit board, and a second connection part connecting the array terminal and the second terminal, and wherein the first connection part and the second connection part are overlapped with each other and wound around the rotation shaft.
