MULTI-STREAM VIDEO RECORDING SYSTEM USING LABELS
A video recording system is disclosed and claimed. In particular, the disclosed video recording system maintains a master stream of video and audio when recording is initiated, but also allows the user to create additional label streams by activating an input control. The label stream can be terminated by activating the input control a second time. The label stream comprises only the portion of the video and audio between the activations of the input control, while the master stream will contain all audio and video that is recorded on the device.
Data structure, information processing apparatus, and control method thereof
Provided is a data structure that makes it possible to easily understand a relationship between pre- and post-editing moving image data on a frame-by-frame basis. A data file has an area for moving image data, and an area, different from the area for the moving image data, for associated information related to the moving image data. The associated information includes identification information for identifying a data file for moving image data related to the moving image data, and information specifying a segment of frames of the moving image data.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, RECORDING MEDIUM, PLAYBACK APPARATUS, PLAYBACK METHOD, AND PROGRAM
There is provided an information processing apparatus, an information processing method, a recording medium, a playback apparatus, a playback method, and a program that are designed to prevent an unnatural change in luminance during random access. The information processing apparatus according to one aspect of the present technology generates dynamic metadata including information regarding luminance of a picture, and encodes HDR video data such that the dynamic metadata is added to each picture serving as a random access point. For example, the dynamic metadata can be allowed to be added to the first picture of a GOP, the first picture serving as the random access point during fast-forward playback/rewind playback or cueing playback. The present technology can be applied to a Blu-ray (registered trademark) Disc player.
IMAGE RECORDING AND REPRODUCTION APPARATUS, IMAGE RECORDING METHOD, AND ENDOSCOPE SYSTEM
An image recording and reproduction apparatus includes: a record data generation circuit configured to generate record data based on an inputted video signal; an operation input device configured to receive a signal generated based on an operation of one or more persons, for one or more operation instructors that accept an operation for adding chapter information to the video signal; an operation system determination circuit configured to determine at least one of the operation instructor generating the signal received by the operation input device, and a person performing the operation, and output a determination result; and a first processor configured to cause the record data generation circuit to generate the record data that associates the chapter information with the video signal, by generating chapter information of a chapter type based on the determination result of the operation system determination circuit, and supplying the information to the record data generation circuit.
BUFFERED WRITING OF DATASETS AND END LONGITUDINAL POSITIONS (END LPOSs) ON A MAGNETIC RECORDING TAPE AND VALIDATING THE END LPOSs DURING READING OF A LATER DATASET THEREAFTER
An apparatus according to one embodiment includes a controller configured to control writing operations to a magnetic recording tape, and logic integrated with and/or executable by the controller for causing the controller to receive a plurality of records, store datasets associated with the plurality of records in a buffer memory, and write the datasets stored in the buffer memory to the magnetic recording tape in response to a predetermined number of datasets being stored in the buffer memory. For each of the datasets being written, an end longitudinal position indicative of a physical position where the dataset is physically written to the magnetic recording tape is determined. Moreover, for each determined end longitudinal position, the end longitudinal position and an identifier of the associated dataset are stored to a table of a dataset that is to be subsequently written to the magnetic recording tape.
Media files and protocols supporting runtime dependent tracks
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide techniques for rendering content from a media item. According to these embodiments, from a file of the media item, track(s) in a group data structure corresponding to the type of content are identified as candidate track(s). From other tracks in the file, a determination may be made whether another track corresponds to the type of content. When another track corresponds to the type of content, feature tags in the file that are associated may be compared with the other track to capabilities of a player device that is to render the type of content. When the feature tags match capabilities of the player device, the other track may be included as a candidate track. Thereafter, a track may be selected from the candidate tracks and rendered by the player device.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EXPORTING VIDEO
A method of exporting video clips is provided, comprising: displaying one or more video streams from at least one security camera; selecting a video clip from a video stream of the one or more video streams, the video clip associated with a time; storing information associated with the video clip in a list of video clips, the information associated with the video clip comprising a default name, the time and a default duration of the video clip and a camera from the at least one security camera that is associated with the video stream from the one or more video streams; displaying the list of video clips; on selection of one or more video clips from the list of video clips, allowing editing of the time and the default duration of the selected one or more video clips; and exporting the selected one or more video clips to a file.
Generating and providing topic visual elements based on audio content and video content of a digital video
The present disclosure relates to methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable media for generating a topic visual element for a portion of a digital video based on audio content and visual content of the digital video. For example, the disclosed systems can generate a map between words of the audio content and their corresponding timestamps from the digital video and then modify the map by associating importance weights with one or more of the words. Further, the disclosed systems can generate an additional map by associating words embedded in one or more video frames of the visual content with their corresponding timestamps. Based on these maps, the disclosed systems can identify a topic for a portion of the digital video (e.g., a portion currently previewed on a computing device), generate a topic visual element that includes the topic, and provide the topic visual element for display on a computing device.
RETROSPECTIVE CAPTURE TRIGGER
An event marking device marks the real time at which notable events occur. When a notable event occurs, a user causes the event marking device to generate a trigger signal. The event marking device includes a real-time clock. When the user causes a trigger signal to be generated, a microcontroller of the event marking device reads the real-time clock and writes trigger event data to a memory indicating a real time at which the trigger signal was generated. The event marking device outputs the trigger event data to an external device.
REPRODUCTION APPARATUS, REPRODUCTION METHOD, PROGRAM, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
There is provided a reproduction apparatus, a reproduction method, a program, and a recording medium that make it possible to stabilize display upon starting of reproduction of an HDR video stream. The reproduction apparatus according to one aspect of the present technology decodes, in a case where a first content including a first HDR video stream to which dynamic metadata including luminance information of a unit of a video frame is added and a second content including a second HDR video stream to which the dynamic metadata is not added and with which static metadata including luminance information of a unit of a content is associated are included in reproducible contents and the second content is to be reproduced, the second HDR video stream, and adds the dynamic metadata to video data obtained by the decoding and outputs resulting data to a display apparatus. The present technology can be applied to a Blu-ray Disc player.
