SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF PROVIDING CONTENT DIFFERENTIATION BETWEEN THUMBNAILS
A method and system of providing content differentiation between thumbnails. One method includes receiving a first video and selecting a first thumbnail from the first video. The method includes receiving a second video and selecting a second thumbnail from the second video. The method includes determining whether a first scene of the first video matches a second scene of the second video. The method includes comparing the first thumbnail and the second thumbnail to determine a thumbnail similarity when the first scene of the first video matches the second scene of the second video. The method includes selecting a new thumbnail to replace either the first thumbnail or the second thumbnail when the thumbnail similarity meets or exceeds a predetermined threshold. The method includes displaying the new thumbnail and the other of the first thumbnail and the second thumbnail.
IMAGE CAPTURE DEVICE, RECORDING DEVICE, AND DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE
An image capture device for recording HDR (high dynamic range) image data obtained through image capture performs control so as to, when encoding HDR image data obtained by capturing an image with an image sensor, divide part of the HDR image data corresponding to a coding area to be encoded into a plurality of divided HDR image data, encode each of the plurality of divided HDR image data by using encoding means, and record the plurality of divided HDR image data that are encoded on a recording medium in a predetermined recording format.
Display device for displaying a preview video based on past playback information
A display device including a display; and a controller configured to receive a request to display a video list including at least one video item corresponding to a video, determine an existence of last playback information indicating a last playback time of the video, and in response to the existence of the last playback information, control the display to display the at least one video item with a first thumbnail representing a first preview video based on the last playback time of the video.
Methods and devices for distributed audio/video synchronization and playback using an A/V orchestrator
The present invention discloses methods and devices for distributed audio/video (A/V) synchronization and playback. Methods include the steps of: enabling identification of an A/V orchestrator by at least one external A/V system using a data-exchange protocol system; enabling configuration information to be available to at least one external A/V system; identifying A/V data from an A/V source to at least one external A/V system; repetitively synchronizing at least one respective system clock with an orchestra timing on the A/V orchestrator; and repetitively sending at least one synchronization notification to at least one external A/V system, wherein at least one synchronization notification is configured to: indicate a given timing in the orchestra timing during A/V playback, indicate a given position in the A/V data during A/V playback; and instruct at least one external A/V system to move to a currently-playing A/V segment in the A/V data for A/V playback.
Efficient video frame rendering in compliance with cross-origin resource restrictions
A browser efficiently extracts media from a video presented through a web application having a different domain from a media server providing the web application while complying with cross-origin resource restrictions. A video portion is selected, and a header portion of the video is identified. A truncated video portion, which includes the selected video portion and a video portion contiguous to the selected video portion, is loaded into memory. A truncated video file is generated including the truncated video portion and a truncated video header. The truncated video file is encoded as a video tag included in the web application, and the media corresponding to the selected video portion is extracted by transcoding the truncated video file in the video tag. A server may also extract the media by loading the truncated video portion, generating the truncated video file, and transcoding the truncated video file to obtain the media.
MOBILE TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a mobile terminal capable of capturing videos, and a method of controlling the same. The mobile terminal includes a display unit capable of outputting a first video captured in response to a preset user input, and outputting a timeline of the first video in a camera preview mode, a camera capable of capturing a second video consecutive to the first video, in response to a preset user input, and a controller capable of storing the first video and the second video as one full video, and outputting a timeline of the full video, which a timeline of the second video follows the timeline of the first video, in the camera preview mode.
USER CREATED TEXTBOOK
In one general aspect, a method for generating a digital textbook can include receiving, by a computing device, a time-based transcript of a video of an online lecture, receiving a time-based thumbnail image subset of images included in the video of the online lecture, and displaying at least a portion of the transcript including a particular word. The method can further include receiving a selection of the particular word, determining a first thumbnail image and a second thumbnail image associated with the particular word, displaying the first thumbnail image and the second thumbnail image, receiving a selection of the first thumbnail image, and modifying, based on the selection of the first thumbnail image, the time-based transcript by including the first thumbnail image in the time-based transcript. The method can further include storing the modified time-based transcript as the digital textbook.
