A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a playback control program that causes a computer to perform a process, the process including specifying a plurality of partial videos extracted from a sport video, each of the plurality of partial videos being associated with information indicating a playback start positions and information on a content of sports play indicated by each of the plurality of partial videos, determining a plurality of playback times from the playback start position for each of the plurality of partial videos based on the information on the content corresponding to each of the plurality of partial videos and based on relation information that associates each of a plurality of contents of sports play with playback times, and playing back the plurality of partial videos based on the plurality of determined playback times.
Smart Access to Personalized Audio
A method (600) for generating a bitstream (500) indicative of an object based audio program is described. The bitstream (500) comprises a sequence of containers (501). A first container (501) of the sequence of containers (501) comprises a plurality of substream entities (520) for a plurality of substreams (411, 412, 413, 414) of the object based audio program and a presenta tion section (510). The method (600) comprises determining (601) a set of object channels (424). The method (600) further comprises providing (602) a set of object related metadata (434, 444) for the set of object channels (424). In addition, the method (600) comprises inserting (603) a first set of object channel frames and a first set of object related metadata frames into a respective set of substream entities (520) of the first container (501). Furthermore, the method (600) comprises inserting (604) presentation data into the presentation section (510).
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR ENABLING PLAYBACK OF CONTENT DURING AN ONGOING CAPTURE
Apparatus and methods for enabling indexing and playback of media content before the end of a content capture. In one aspect, a method for enabling indexing of media data obtained as part of a content capture is disclosed. In one embodiment, the indexing enables playback of the media data during the capture and before cessation thereof. In one variant, the method includes generating an “SOS track” for one or more images. The SOS track does not contain the same information as a full index, but provides sufficient information to allow an index to be subsequently constructed. In one implementation, the provided information includes identifiable markers relating to video data, audio data, or white space, but it does not provide an enumerated or complete “table of contents” as in a traditional index.
Display control apparatus and control method for controlling the same
A display control apparatus that performs control, where a content is reproduced such that, when a reproduction position of the content is changed to a first range from an end of the content by an operation of a user on an operation unit, the reproduction is continued from a position where the change is made, and when the reproduction position of the content reaches the end of the content, the reproduction automatically transitions to reproduction of a next content, and when the reproduction position of the content is changed to a second range from the end of the content different from the first range by an operation of the user on the operation unit, and even when the reproduction position of the content reaches the end of the content, the reproduction does not automatically transition to the reproduction of the next content and the reproduction of the content is paused.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR A NETWORK CONNECTED STORAGE SYSTEM
A Data Storage Device (DSD) includes a Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) for storing data, a network interface for communicating on a network, and a processor. According to one aspect, a command is received via the network interface for storing data in the NVM. A data writing methodology is dynamically selected for how the data will be physically stored in the NVM from among a plurality of data writing methodologies based at least in part on whether the command is to be performed using a first interface or a second interface for accessing data in the NVM. According to another aspect, respective storage capacities of the NVM and/or respective rates of consumption of different types of storage media in the NVM are assigned to the first interface and to the second interface.
NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM, AND DISPLAY CONTROL DEVICE
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a display control program that causes a computer to execute a process including, in response to a selection of a retrieval item from a plurality of retrieval items, displaying an input area of a retrieval condition corresponding to the selected retrieval item, displaying, in an area different from the input area, a retrieval result retrieved according to a retrieval condition entered in the input area, while maintaining the display of the input area, receiving a selection of any content from a plurality of contents included in the retrieval results, and in response to the selection, displaying an reproduction area that reproduces an image or a video image corresponding to the selected content while maintaining the display of the retrieval results, the reproduction area overlapping at least a part or a whole of the input area.
VIDEO RECORDING APPARATUS AND VIDEO RECORDING METHOD
A video recording apparatus includes a recording device having a location information area and a video data area. The location information area stores location information of video data stored in the video data area. The video data area stores the video data in units of blocks with a size of 1 MB or greater. The tail end of the block is used as a table of contents region for storing table of contents information of a plurality of the most-recent blocks. By providing the table of contents regions at a predetermined frequency, the tables of contents of all blocks being used in the video data area are retained in a distributed and redundant manner. Whenever the power supply is re-activated, the tables of contents regions are read, and pieces of the table of contents information are joined appropriately to construct a complete table of contents in memory.
Pass-through tape access in a disk storage environment
A command to write data to a virtual location is received at a disk storage system. The virtual location is mapped to a tape storage system. A record is generated including the data, the virtual location, and a sequence value. The sequence value indicates relative sequence when compared to other sequence values. The record is written to a record location on a tape cartridge loaded in a tape drive. Record metadata on the disk storage system is modified to indicate that the first record location contains the first record. The data on the record can be read from the tape cartridge.
Flash memory and method for storing and retrieving embedded audio video data
A method, a device and a flash memory for storing, retrieving and deleting embedded audio video data are disclosed. The flash memory includes several partitions, where each partition includes: a main node partition to store metadata information of the partition; an inode partition, including at least one inode queue including several inodes corresponding to a same audio video track, where each inode is used to store timestamp information and storage location information of one frame of audio video data in the corresponding audio video track; and each inode in an inode queue is arranged according to a storage time sequence of the corresponding frame of audio video data; and a main storage partition, including several data blocks to store the audio video data, where at least one data block corresponds to a same inode.
Playback state control by position change detection
There is provided an information processing apparatus including a position change detecting unit that detects a position change of an operating body on a screen, a playback state control unit that controls a playback state of a content, and a display control unit that at least displays a part or all of a text list in which text data items associated with elapsed times in a playback of the content are sorted in an order of the elapsed times, on the screen. The playback state control unit controls the playback state of the content in response to a continuous position change of the operating body detected by the position change detecting unit on the text list displayed by the display control unit.
