LINEAR ROTARY ENCODER
A linear rotary encoder includes a pair of rotational surfaces. A contact belt has a first end coupled to a first rotational surface in the pair and a second end coupled to a second rotational surface in the pair. The contact belt is driven to rotate around the pair of rotational surfaces by a driving force applied to media to move the media from the first end toward the second end. An encoding scale is coupled to an inner surface of the contact belt. A reader is positioned to read the encoding scale as the contact belt rotates around the pair of rotational surfaces. The reader generates an output signal indicating a position of the media based on reading of the encoding scale.
Quick Measurement Module
In a quick measurement module provided by the present invention, a first distance sensing unit and a second distance sensing unit are provided individually on a movable seat, so that when the movable seat is displaced along a linear shifting axis, the first distance sensing unit senses the distance from the first reference plane, and meanwhile, the second distance sensing unit senses the distance from the second reference plane, so as to sense the linearity accuracy in movement of the movable seat with respect to the first reference plane and the second reference plane. The first reference plane and the second reference plane are spaced apart by an angle other than a right angle, so that the linearity accuracy in movement in the two different planes, such as the horizontal linearity accuracy and vertical linearity accuracy, of the movable seat can be obtained through sensing.
PRINTING APPARATUS
The printing apparatus includes a carriage having a print head mounted thereon, a carriage guide configured to guide movement of the carriage and to support the carriage, an optical scale member having an optical scale, an optical sensor mounting member having an optical sensor mounted thereon to read the optical scale, the optical sensor mounting member being fixed to a support surface of a support wall of the carriage, and a head portion of the fixing screw configured to be switched between a fixed state in which the optical sensor mounting member is fixed to the carriage and a release state in which the fixed state is released. The head of the fixing screw is located on a side opposite to the support surface with respect to the support wall when the optical sensor mounting member is in the fixed state.
ENCODER APPARATUS
An encoder apparatus comprising a scale and a readhead assembly comprising a scale signal receiver. The scale and the scale signal receiver are located within a protective housing which is configured to protect them from contamination located outside the protective housing and comprises a seal through which the scale signal receiver can be connected to a part outside the protective housing. The arrangement of the scale signal receiver inside the protective housing is independent of the scale and protective housing.

Linear displacement measuring apparatus for determining an absolute position, and linear guide having such a displacement measuring apparatus
A linear displacement measuring apparatus for determining an absolute position includes a linear rail composed of individual rail segments arranged after one another in the direction of a longitudinal axis. Each of the rail segments has a material measure which comprises at least one incremental track which extends along the longitudinal axis and has equidistantly arranged position markings. In addition to the incremental track, the material measure of one of the rail segments has an absolute track with position markings for coding a plurality of absolute positions. A scanning device can be moved along the rail segments and comprises a sensor arrangement for scanning the material measures with a first sensor, a second sensor and a third sensor. The first sensor and the second sensor are offset relative to one another in the direction of the longitudinal axis and are used to detect the position markings of the incremental track.
