20190049291 · 2019-02-14 · ·

A system for making public a scale includes a device for capturing a weight from the scale and hardware for storing the weight and associating the weight with the scale (in some embodiments, the weight is periodically transferred to a server for central storage). There is a user interface for directing an operator having a vehicle to the scale and mechanisms for determining that the operator, and hence the vehicle, are located on the scale. Once on the scale, a weigh-bill is generated from the weight and the weigh-bill is communicated to the operator

BABY TRACKER

The invention provides a system (100a) for tracking infant development, the system comprising: a portable device (101) including a camera and a processing unit, and a weighing scale (102), preferably comprising a wireless transceiver; wherein the weighing scale is configured to measure the weight of an infant and to transmit the measured weight information to the portable device; and wherein the portable device is configured to capture (401) an image of the infant; combine the received weight information and information derived from the image of the infant to obtain (404) infant development statistics; and store (403) the image and the obtained infant development statistics in a storage; wherein the information derived from the image includes at least one of the height of the infant and the head circumference of the infant. The invention further provides a portable device, a weighing scale, and a computer readable medium.

Fish kiosk for weighing and transmitting fish weight and method for its use
10021859 · 2018-07-17 ·

A fish weight capture system accurately captures and records the number and weight of each fish caught by fishermen through a geographic area. The system uses a series of dispersed kiosks such that each kiosk weighs each fish processed by the kiosk and captures and image and other information about the fish. The data about each fish is recorded within the kiosk and is transmitted to a central computer and stored within a database. The data received from each kiosk allow a regulatory agency to determine the number and weight of each fish type taken and set appropriate rules and regulations based on this data.

A method for measuring feed flow, feed is moved through a flexible pipe using a flexible auger operably positioned within the pipe. Feed flow through a metered section (309) of the flexible pipe is metered using a feed meter (304) attached to the flexible pipe. The feed meter includes load cell (312) configured to detect strain induced by feed mass within the metered section (309). Metering feed includes providing a measure of mass flow of the feed, using the load cell (312), when the feed moves through the metered section (309).
