Flow wrapper with leakage-control of the resulting packages

The present invention relates to a flow wrapper which comprises a form and/or film tube, which forms the planar film into a film tube and/or fills the film tube with a packaging item and which comprises means to provide a longitudinal- and/or cross-seal to the film tube.

Leak detection of gas containers using an optical detector

A leak detection system comprising a substantially sealed accumulation chamber adapted to accommodate a single gas container, the accumulation chamber being sealed so that when a gas container is in the accumulation chamber gas leaked from that container accumulates. An optical detector is provided for detecting leaked gas, the detector including an optical cell. A controller directs a reference sample to the optical cell and subsequently directs a sample from the from the accumulation chamber to the optical cell. The optical detector is operable use both the reference sample and the accumulation chamber sample to detect leaked gas.

Leakage inspection method and leakage inspection device for container to be inspected

A leakage inspection method and leakage inspection device for container to be inspected are provided. When a container to be inspected having a deformable flexible part is to be inspected for leakage, the container to be inspected is filled with an inspection gas containing helium, the container to be inspected, which has been filled with the inspection gas, is disposed in an inspection chamber partitioned from the outside, and an upward flow of a carrier gas is formed from the lower part to the upper part of the container to be inspected. A leakage of the inspection gas filled in the container to be inspected is then detected on the basis of the result of measuring the concentration of helium in the carrier gas collected at a position higher than a position where the carrier gas is fed into the inspection chamber.

Device and method for improved closure integrity testing

The present invention relates to a method and a device for determining the robustness and tolerance of pre-filled containers, in particular pre-filled syringes (PFS) against accidental movement of flexible parts, specifically tip cap and/or plunger movement due to external influences by measuring the leakage rate of a test medium in correlation to a movement of a flexible parts.

Device and Method for Improved Container Closure Integrity Testing

The invention discloses devices and methods for container closure integrity testing by leak testing, in particular of pharmaceutical containers, which are composed of two parts, the container itself, which shows an opening, and a closure system that is used to close this opening of the container, such as a lid; and their application in quality control.

Method for Detecting Leakage of a Hollow Component and Installation for Implementing Such a Method
20200240868 · 2020-07-30 · ·

The invention relates to a method for detecting leakage of a hollow component, comprising the steps of sealing said hollow component (1, 31), creating a pressure difference P1 and P2 between said hollow component interior and an adjacent compartment/enclosure (2, 32), putting a tracer gas in one of the hollow component or said compartment/enclosure, waiting for an enriching time T and then carrying out a step of transferring, via a non-selective or selective restriction (6, 7; 49), the content of said hollow component or said compartment/enclosure (2; 32) into which tracer gas has not been put, in order to concentrate, in a volume downstream of said restriction (6, 7; 49), the tracer gas that said content may possibly contain, and then in looking for the presence of tracer gas in said volume. The invention also relates to an installation for implementing the method.

METHOD OF TESTING THE SEAL OF TRANSPORTABLE CONTAINERS, SUCH AS SUITCASES, TRUNKS, CASES AND THE LIKE
20200217743 · 2020-07-09 ·

A method of testing the seal of transportable containers, such as suitcases, trunks, and cases, which form inside them, in at least one closed configuration, at least one compartment to be seal tested, the method includes the following steps: accommodating a container to be tested, in the closed configuration, in a saturation chamber; dispensing a tracer gas in the saturation chamber; and lowering the pressure value inside the compartment. The method further includes waiting for a preset time, keeping the saturation chamber closed; drawing an air sample from the compartment; and measuring the actual concentration of tracer gas in the air sample drawn from the compartment. Thus, an actual concentration higher than a reference value, correlated to the normal concentration of tracer gas in the atmosphere, can indicate the entry of the tracer gas in the compartment and a condition of at least potential defectiveness of the seal of the compartment of the container.

LEAKAGE INSPECTION DEVICE AND LEAKAGE INSPECTION METHOD

A leakage inspection device includes an inspection chamber in which an inspection object is disposed to be filled with a tracer gas, and a circulation passage which connects a suction port disposed in the inspection chamber and a blowout port disposed at a position away from the suction port in the inspection chamber with each other. The leakage inspection device includes a blower disposed in the circulation passage to circulate gas by sucking from the inspection chamber through the suction port and by blowing out from the blowout port. The leakage inspection device includes a detector configured to detect the tracer gas leaked from the inspection object and contained in the gas flowing through the circulation passage at a position separated by a predetermined distance or more from the blower toward the blowout port in the circulation passage.

Method for controlling the leaktightness of sealed products and installation for the detection of leaks
