AUTOMATED METHOD TO CHECK ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE EFFECT ON A VICTIM DEVICE
Some aspects of this disclosure are directed to an automated method to check electrostatic discharge (ESD) effect on a victim device. For example, some aspects of this disclosure relate to a method, including determining a probe point, in a circuit design, for determining effective resistance between the probe point and ground, where the probe point is on an ESD path of in the circuit design. The method includes determining voltage between the probe point and the ground. The method further includes comparing, by a processing device, a resistance value of the ESD path determined based a predefined electric current value at a source point and the measured voltage with a target resistance value range. The method further includes reporting a violation upon determining that the determined resistance value of the ESD path is outside the target resistance value range.

PROBE PIN HAVING IMPROVED GRIPPING STRUCTURE
A probe pin having an improved gripping structure is disclosed. The disclosed probe pin includes a pin body including a plurality of holes and positioned at one side, a first extension portion extending upward from an outer side of the pin body, a second extension portion elongated from the other end of the first extension portion, further extending than the pin body in the other direction, and spaced apart from the pin body, and a tip part integrated with the second extension portion and having an end sharply protruding upward from an outer upper end of the second extension portion, in which the second extension portion includes a plurality of elasticity provision holes formed in parallel with an outer peripheral surface of the second extension portion and having different shapes to provide an elastic force that moves a portion of a needle of the tip part.
Probe pin inspection mechanism and inspection apparatus
A probe pin inspection mechanism a includes a base, a pair of movable bodies, a pair of movable-body elastic bodies, and a conductor. The movable bodies are supported by the base to be movable in a first direction from a first position with respect to the base, and respectively include ends and terminals electrically connected to the respective ends. The movable-body elastic bodies elastically press the movable bodies in a second direction. The conductor is supported by the base and electrically connects the terminals of the movable bodies by making contact with the terminals. The state between the terminals and the conductor is switched, according to the position of the movable bodies, between a conductive state in which the terminals and the conductor are in contact with each other and a non-conductive state in which the terminals and the conductor are separated from each other.
