An ultrasound image is generated by repeatedly transmitting an ultrasound signal to scan lines in an object and receiving echo signals respectively corresponding to the scan lines. Each of at least three echo signal groups is formed to include the echo signals received as a result of a single execution of transmitting the ultrasound signal and receiving corresponding echo signals. A B-flow image is generated by partially overlapping the echo signal groups and represents a tissue component and a blood flow component.

The method includes presenting, at a display, the virtual gate at the determined position along the PW line in the B-mode image. The method includes analyzing, by the processor, B-mode image intensity values at the virtual gate in the B-mode image to determine whether the B-mode image intensity values exceed an intensity threshold. The method includes providing, by the at least one processor, a virtual gate warning when the B-mode image intensity values exceed the intensity threshold.

ULTRASOUND DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS

An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus includes: a transmitter; a receiver; a Doppler processor that detects a Doppler shift frequency resulting from a blood flow in a subject, based on a reception signal corresponding to a reflected wave from a sample gate position in the subject; and a velocity scale adjuster that adjusts a velocity scale determining a pulse repetition frequency, based on a Doppler waveform corresponding to the Doppler shift frequency during an observation target period. In a case where a recommendation value of the velocity scale calculated based on the Doppler waveform is larger than a critical value of the velocity scale at which a measurement state calculated based on the sample gate position transitions from a non-high-pulse-repetition-frequency state to a high-pulse-repetition-frequency state, the velocity scale adjuster sets the critical value as the velocity scale to be used in measurement.

ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD FOR ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS, AND CONTROL PROGRAM FOR ULTRASONIC DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS

An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes: a tomographic image generator that generates a tomographic image showing an inside of a subject, based on a received signal relating to an ultrasonic echo of a first ultrasonic beam transmitted to the subject; a Doppler processor that detects a Doppler shift in frequency from a transmission frequency of a second ultrasonic beam, based on a received signal relating to an ultrasonic echo of the second ultrasonic beam transmitted to the subject; a hardware processor that detects a blood vessel position in the subject based on image information about the tomographic image and sets an angle correction value relating to an intersection angle between a blood vessel extending direction at the blood vessel position and a beam direction of the second ultrasonic beam; and a display processor that generates a Doppler spectrum image representing a distribution of blood flow rate at the blood vessel position.

ULTRASONIC MEASUREMENT OF VESSEL STENOSIS
20200253579 · 2020-08-13 ·

An ultrasound system is used to measure the percent stenosis of a vessel in terms of residual lumen area. A measurement of volume blood flow is made at an unobstructed point of the vessel near the site of the stenosis. A measurement of the time averaged mean blood flow velocity is made at the stenosis. The quotient of these two values is computed to produce an estimate of the residual lumen area and the percent stenosis at site of the obstruction.

Ultrasound blood flow Doppler audio with pitch shifting

An ultrasonic diagnostic imaging system produces audio Doppler from detected Doppler signals. The Doppler signals are detected in a band of frequencies which corresponds to the velocity of blood flow signals, and Doppler information is displayed based on the detected band of frequencies. The audio Doppler system produces Doppler audio in a frequency band which is shifted in pitch from the detected band of frequencies. The operator of the ultrasound system is provided with a user control by which the degree of pitch shifting can be controlled. The ultrasound system displays Doppler blood flow velocities referenced to a transmit Doppler frequency f.sub.0, with the audio Doppler being shifted in pitch from the frequencies corresponding to the blood flow velocities.
