Optical fiber connector assembly
This invention reveals a type of optical fiber connector assembly, comprising of a shell, an optical fiber adapter, an optical fiber connector and optical cable. The optical cable is provided with an optical cable securing device, an optical cable strengthening component being secured to the optical cable securing device, and the optical fiber within the optical cable passes through the optical cable securing device. The optical fiber connector assembly also comprises a first port end cap; the optical cable securing device is separate from the optical fiber connector, and fits within the accommodating cavity therein; the outer end of the end cap possesses an arrestor wall, which prevents the optical cable securing device from being pulled out of the accommodating cavity within the end cap; additionally there is a compressed spring provided between the end cap and the optical fiber adapter, the compressed spring being squeezed between the end surface of the end cap and the end surface of the optical fiber adapter. In this invention, since there is only a compressed spring provided on one side of the optical fiber adapter, the compressed spring being squeezed between the end cap and the end surface of the optical fiber adapter, the overall axial and radial size of the optical fiber connector assembly is reduced.
Connector and electronic apparatus
Provided is a connector including: an electric transmitter; an optical transmitter including a lens at an end of an optical transmission path; a housing that is allowed to contain the optical transmitter; and a slide mechanism that attaches the lens to a connected unit at a position exposed from a front surface of the housing.
WRAP PLUG ATTENUATION ADJUSTMENT TOOL
An apparatus for an attenuation adjustment tool, the attenuation adjustment tool includes a body with an adjustment arm positioned at a first side of the body, where an actuator is configured to extend and retract the adjustment arm. The attenuation adjustment tool further includes an input port and an output port positioned at the first side of the body, wherein an input prong and an output prong of a wrap plug are each respectively insertable into the input port and the output port. The attenuation adjustment tool further includes the adjustment arm configurable to engage with a mechanism on the wrap plug, wherein the mechanism is configurable to alter a shape of a signal cable in the wrap plug.
OPTICAL FIBER ADAPTER
Provided is an optical fiber adapter. The optical fiber adapter includes a first adapter body, a shielding gate elastically hinged to a lower end portion of the first adapter body, and a second adapter body whose a lower end portion is inserted into a cavity of the first adapter body. An end surface of the lower end portion of the second adapter body extends downward to form extension posts and an engagement arm, the extension posts are pressed against two ends of a hinge shaft of the shielding gate, and the engagement arm is exposed outside the shielding gate and is engaged with an optical fiber connector joint inserted into a lower end portion of the first adapter body. This structural design can facilitate the installation and fixation of the shielding gate, and thus a better light-shielding and dust-proof effect can be achieved.
Sealing enclosure for a connector on a cable such as a standardized fiber-optic connector
A sealing enclosure is configured to connect to a mating enclosure. The sealing enclosure loosely receives a connector within a connector volume so that the connector, which may be of a standard type used in electronic or optic data transmission, may be displaced within a plug face at the forward end of the connector volume. The connector may compensate variations in the position of a mating connector with respect to the mating enclosure. The sealing enclosure allows to seal off the connector volume and engage the sealing enclosure with a mating enclosure in a single motion. This is affected by having a cable seal interposed between an inner body and an outer body. If the outer body is moved forward to engage the mating connector, the cable seal is squeezed between the cable and the inner body sealing off the connector volume at the rearward end of the inner body.
Optical fiber connection device for connecting optical fiber and optical fiber assembly
An optical connection device includes an optical fiber, a first connection member which includes an inlet to which the optical fiber is connected and an outlet, a second connection member which includes an aperture connected to the outlet of the first connection member and to which light from the optical fiber is transmitted through the first connection member, and a first light transmission protection part which protects a tip of the optical fiber in the first connection member.
Springless retention structure for an ingress protected hybrid connector assembly
An optical connector assembly a first structure and a second structure, the two structures secured together using a retention structure to form a hybrid assembly. The retention structure uses a slot apex located in a slot channel for securing at least one latch pin of a coupling nut to an adapter housing forming the ingress protected connector without the use of a bias spring. The hybrid assembly is designed to resist water or debris ingress, and may eliminate the use of a bias force to further resist separating the hybrid assembly.
Fiber optic connector and assembly thereof
A factory processed and assembled optical fiber arrangement is configured to pass through tight, tortuous spaces when routed to a demarcation point. A connector housing attaches to the optical fiber arrangement at the demarcation point (or after leaving the tight, tortuous spaces) to form a connectorized end of the optical fiber. A fiber tip is protected before leaving the factory until connection is desired.
Microfabrication method for optical components
A ferrule mold having a reverse-image of a through-hole array for optical fibers is formed. A non-polymeric ferrule material is deposited in the reverse-image mold, followed by removing the mold to create a multi-fiber connector ferrule having at least two fiber through-holes. An optical fiber is inserted in each through-hole until each fiber endface is positioned approximately even with a connection surface of the ferrule. A fiber recess for each of the optical fibers is formed such that each fiber is recessed from the multi-fiber ferrule connection surface by a distance of at least 0.1 micron. The recess may be formed by differential polishing of the non-polymeric ferrule and endfaces of the optical fibers. Alternatively, a layer of spacer material may be deposited over the multi-fiber ferrule connection surface. An antireflection coating is deposited over the ferrule connection surface and ends of the recessed fibers.
UNIVERSAL CABLE ANCHORING FOR PLUG CONNECTORS
One or more cables are axially, laterally, and/or rotationally secured to an anchor member. A plug connector can be assembled to or around the anchor member. The anchor member also can be used to handle the cable prior to assembling the plug connector. A connectorization system for assembling plug connectors includes multiple types/sizes of cables; optionally types/sizes of plug bodies; and the anchor member sized and shaped to connect a selected one of any of the cables with any of the plug bodies of the connectorization system.
