The MCF further comprises a probe comprising a probe tip coupled with a distal end of the MCF and a lens located at a distal end of the probe tip. In some embodiments, the lens is configured to translate laser light from the distal end of the MCF to create a multi-spot pattern of laser beams on a target surface and a distal end of the MCF terminates at an interface with the lens.

OPTICAL CONNECTOR FERRULE, SLEEVE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FERRULE MEMBER

An object is to provide an optical fiber connector ferrule, a sleeve, and a method for manufacturing a ferrule member that can avoid an increase in manufacturing time and an increase in cost of optical connectors for connecting multicore optical fibers. The present invention provides an optical fiber connector ferrule, a sleeve, and a method for manufacturing ferrule member which realizes alignment of multicore optical fibers corresponding to the connection by mounting a ferrule on a multicore fiber and then cutting a ferrule member instead of aligning core positions by rotating an axis of an optical fiber and adjusting positions of cores to the ferrule, leading to simplification of a rotational alignment step.

Fiber optic connector with field installable outer connector housing

An optical connector includes a first sub-assembly that is factory-installed to a first end of an optical fiber and a second sub-assembly that is field-installed to the first end of the optical fiber. The optical fiber and first sub-assembly can be routed through a structure (e.g., a building) prior to installation of the second sub-assembly. The second sub-assembly interlocks with the first sub-assembly to inhibit relative axial movement therebetween. Example first sub-assemblies include a ferrule, a hub, and a strain-relief sleeve that mount to an optical fiber. Example second sub-assemblies include a mounting block; and an outer connector housing forming a plug portion.

FIBER OPTIC CONNECTOR WITH PARTIAL THREADED PORTION AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME

A fiber optic connection system includes a fiber optic connector and an adapter assembly. The fiber optic connector is coupled to the adapter assembly with a fast coupling mechanism. The fast coupling mechanism allows the fiber optic connector to be mounted into the adapter assembly with rotation of the fiber optic connector relative to the adapter assembly less than a full turn.

Ferrule Push

A fiber optic ferrule push includes a main body extending between a front end and a rear end, the main body having a central opening extending between the front end and the rear end to receive a plurality of optical fibers therethrough, a front facing surface configured to engage a rear surface of a fiber optic ferrule, and at least one projection extending outward from the main body to engage a housing configured to receive the fiber optic ferrule, the fiber optic ferrule push may also include a key extending outward from a surface of the main body. The fiber optic ferrule push may be paired with a fiber optic ferrule in a fiber optic assembly.
