FIBER OPTIC CABLE SEALING DEVICE
Disclosed herein are cable sealing devices having features for enhancing effective sealing, volume compensation, seal pressurization, cable size range-taking, cable installation and insert installation. Also disclosed herein is an enclosure including at least one cable sealing device.
FIBER OPTIC ENCLOSURE WITH A SIDE CABLE ENTRANCE
A telecommunications enclosure includes an extension defining a side cable entrance. In certain enclosures, the housing is elongate along a length and the extension is disposed at one end of the length. Cable sealing (e.g., gel) is disposed in the cable extension. One or more pivotal splice trays may be mounted within the housing. Loop storage also may be provided at or near the side cable entrance.
Telecommunications enclosure and organizer
A closure includes a cover and seal block. A feeder cable pathway and rear cover is provided for separation of feeder cables from drop cables. The organizer in the closure includes an end cap and rear cable storage. Cable fixation clips, linear or bendable, can be used individually or daisy chained together. Cable fixation chambers are positioned on top of the gel block housing. The organizer is a click together organizer. Dual heights on cable guides on sides of the groove plate facilitate cable installation. Tray supports with rounded ends prevent looseness of the tray mounts. Other organizers include cable routing features for compact storage.
EXPANDABLE CLOSURE SYSTEM
A closure enclosing and protecting at least one line splice holder. The closure includes a first housing portion enclosing at least a portion of a hollow interior of the closure, the at least one line splice holder being located within the hollow interior. The first housing portion has a portal through which plural lines extend into the hollow interior. The closure includes a second housing portion actuatable with respect to the first housing portion to provide an additional portion of the hollow interior. The additional portion of the hollow interior is a volume to receive additional of the at least one line splice holder. The closure includes a coupling for connecting the second housing portion to the first housing portion.
Fiber drop terminal
A drop terminal mounting system includes a fiber drop terminal having a housing and a base attached to the housing. The housing includes an outer surface containing a plurality of receptacles and cooperatively defines an inner cavity with the base. The drop terminal mounting system further includes a bracket having a first fastening region and a second fastening region adapted to secure the drop terminal to the bracket.
MODULAR HYBRID CLOSURE
A hybrid cable distribution system wherein a feeder cable is received by a box. The feeder cable can be a hybrid cable including optical fibers and copper wire (coax). The box may be used only for copper signal handling (such as coaxial signal handling), and then at a later date, the box may be used for receiving fiber signals. Customers can directly connect to the feeder fan out device by connecting a tail of a drop splice module that is spliced to an individual distribution cable to the feeder fan out device. This connection creates a point-to-point connection. The number of fan out devices in the system can be increased or decreased as needed. Alternatively, a splitter input can be connected to the feeder fan out device, such as through a pigtail extending from the splitter, wherein the splitter splits the signal as desired into a plurality of outputs. The outputs of the splitters can be in the form of connectors or adapters. The connectors or adapters are then connected to tails of drop splice modules that are spliced to individual distribution cables so that customers can receive a split signal. The cable distribution system allows for mixing of connection types to the customer(s) such as a direct connection (point-to-point), or a split signal connection. Further, the types of splitters can be mixed and varied as desired. Further, the types of fan out devices can be mixed and varied as desired.
Indicia and method for identifying telecommunications components
A telecommunications component includes an outer housing that includes a badge holder. The badge holder is configured to receive a badge. The badge is configured to be inserted into the badge holder. The badge includes a feature that is identifying of the source of the telecommunications component and the feature is at least one of a logo, a specific color, text information, a barcode, a QR code, and a RFID tag. The badge includes a pair of arms extending from opposing sides to engage with the badge holder of outer housing. The badge includes a securing feature that is configured to secure the badge within the badge holder.
TELECOMMUNICATIONS ENCLOSURE WITH A SEPARATE MOUNTABLE HINGE
The present disclosure relates to a telecommunications enclosures that can be customizable to include a hinge. That is, a separate hinge may be utilized as an add-on feature for telecommunications enclosures. The hinge can be attached to at least two different sides of an enclosure or may not be utilized at all. Such a configuration allows for flexibility of a variety of designs for a telecommunications enclosure. The hinge can be mountable to interfaces of first and second housing pieces of an enclosure. The hinge can have rotational features and/or translational features for pivoting first and second housing pieces of an enclosure between first and second positions.
CONNECTION MODULE FOR CABLE SEAL GEL BLOCK
Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to an enclosure including a housing, a volume of sealant that defines a port in communication with an interior of the housing, and a fiber optic connection module including a sleeve that mounts within the port with the volume of sealant forming a seal about an exterior of the sleeve. The sleeve includes an inner end adjacent the interior of the housing and an outer end outside the housing. The fiber optic connection module also includes a demateable fiber optic connection interface adjacent the outer end of the sleeve. The demateable fiber optic connection interface includes a fiber optic connector. Other aspects of the present disclosure relate to fiber optic connection modules having features that make such modules suitable to be mounted within a port defined by a volume of sealant.
Enclosure for use in a fiber optic distribution network
The present disclosure relates to a re-enterable enclosure for a fiber optic network. The enclosure can include features such as a low compression-force perimeter gasket, cable seals constructed to seal effectively seal triple points, multi-function port size reducer plugs and multi-function blind plugs.
