Highly reflective electrostatic shutter display

A reflective display tile can be used in connection with a static or video display. The tile includes a transparent substrate having a front surface, a rear surface, and a peripheral edge surrounding the front and rear surfaces, an electrostatic shutter array disposed at the front surface of said substrate, a reflective medium disposed at the rear surface of the substrate, and drive electronics disposed rearward of the reflective medium. The shutter array and drive electronics are configured so that the tile is tileable and can be abutted at any of its peripheral edges against identical tiles to form a display with substantially no perceived optical interface between adjacent tiles. Another embodiment includes an opaque substrate such as a circuit board. A further embodiment has a polymeric film coated on one side with a metal film and on another side with ink or blackening material.

According to an aspect, a display device includes: a substrate; a display region; a peripheral region; signal lines; terminals; wires coupling the terminals and the signal lines in the peripheral region; and first and second metal layers in different layers perpendicularly to the substrate and an insulating film in the peripheral region. The peripheral region includes: a first wiring region, in which the wires are electrically coupled to the signal lines; a second wiring region between the first wiring region and the terminals, and in which at least one or more wires pass through the first and second metal layers; and a third wiring region between the first and second wiring regions, and in which the wires extend in a second direction intersecting the first direction. The third wiring region includes contacts coupling the first and second metal layers, and a virtual line connecting the contacts has a curved shape.

A display panel and a display device. The display panel includes: an array substrate; a first signal line group and a second signal line group arranged on the array substrate, the first signal line group including at least an alternating-current signal line, and the second signal line group including a plurality of signal lines which are direct-current signal lines; and a cover plate, arranged on the array substrate and covering at least the first signal line group. On a plane parallel to the cover plate, a projection of the second signal line group does not overlap with a projection of the cover plate. The display panel and the display device can ensure the reliability of the display panel while also realizing a narrow frame design of the display panel.

Display device and fabrication method are provided. The display device includes a first substrate and a flexible circuit board. The first substrate includes a step region, first alignment marks, and a base substrate. The step region includes a bonding region and the bonding region includes a plurality of first pads arranged in at least one row along a first direction. The flexible circuit board is bonded in the bonding region and includes second alignment marks. Orthographic projections of the first alignment marks on a plane of the base substrate do not overlap an orthographic projection of the flexible circuit board on the plane of the base substrate, and do not overlap orthographic projections of the second alignment marks on the plane of the base substrate.

A pixel array substrate includes a substrate, a plurality of data lines, a plurality of scan lines, a plurality of sub-pixels, and a first and a second auxiliary lines. The plurality of sub-pixels are arranged into first rows arranged in a first direction and second rows arranged in a second direction. The first auxiliary line and the plurality of scan lines belong to a first conductive layer. The second auxiliary line and the plurality of data lines belong to a second conductive layer. The first auxiliary line is located between two scan lines. A first end of the first auxiliary line is connected to one of the two scan lines. A second end of the first auxiliary line is separated from the other one of the two scan lines. The second auxiliary line is electrically connected to the first auxiliary line at the second end through a conductive via.
