An image forming apparatus includes a restriction member that is rotatable between a first position, in which opening of a locking cover is restrictable in engagement with the locking cover, and a second position in which engagement with the locking cover is disengaged, a coil spring that urges the restriction member to the first position, a solenoid that is driven according to electric conduction to move the restriction member to the second position, a link member that transmits driving force generated in the solenoid to the restriction member, and a restraint part that restrains movement of the link member in a direction crossing a driving direction.

A developing cartridge includes a casing, a developer-carrying member, a supply member, a developing electrode, a supply electrode, and an insulating member. The casing is configured to accommodate therein developer. The developer-carrying member is configured to rotate about a rotational axis and carry the developer thereon. The supply member is configured to supply the developer to the developer-carrying member. The developing electrode is configured to be electrically connected to the developer-carrying member. The supply electrode is configured to be electrically connected to the supply member. The insulating member insulates the developing electrode and the supply electrode with each other. The developing electrode, the insulating member, and the supply electrode are overlapped in this order in an axial direction of the rotational axis.
Image forming apparatus with detachable toner container
A lever member is displaceably provided to a toner container. A container locking mechanism locks the toner container at a mounting position in a container mounting portion when the lever member is operated from a first operation position to a second operation position in a state where the toner container is located at the mounting position. A locking member is displaceable between a lever locking position and a lever releasing position. A locking control portion controls a drive portion to displace the locking member to the lever locking position when a remaining amount of the toner detected by the remaining amount detection portion is equal to or greater than a predetermined amount, and controls the drive portion to displace the locking member to the lever releasing position when the remaining amount of the toner detected by the remaining amount detection portion is less than the predetermined amount.

A developing cartridge includes a casing, a developer-carrying member, a supply member, a developing electrode, a supply electrode, and an insulating member. The casing is configured to accommodate therein developer. The developer-carrying member is configured to rotate about a rotational axis and carry the developer thereon. The supply member is configured to supply the developer to the developer-carrying member. The developing electrode is configured to be electrically connected to the developer-carrying member. The supply electrode is configured to be electrically connected to the supply member. The insulating member insulates the developing electrode and the supply electrode with each other. The developing electrode, the insulating member, and the supply electrode are overlapped in this order in an axial direction of the rotational axis.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a latent image bearer, an electrostatic latent image forming device, a potential sensor, a toner image forming device, a toner adhesion amount detector, and circuitry. The circuitry controls the electrostatic latent image forming device to create an adjustment pattern on the latent image bearer when the image forming apparatus is not printing, controls the potential sensor to detect an electric potential of the adjustment pattern, controls the electrostatic latent image forming device and the toner image forming device to create a test toner image during a printing period, controls the toner adhesion amount detector to detect a toner adhesion amount of the test toner image, and adjusts at least one image forming condition of the electrostatic latent image forming device and the toner image forming device based on the electric potential of the adjustment pattern and the toner adhesion amount of the test toner image.
Developer cartridge
A developer cartridge is described. The developer cartridge detachably mountable on a tandem type photosensitive unit slidable to a drawn-out position and a mounted position with respect to an image forming apparatus body may include a casing; a developer carrier rotatably supported on one end portion of the casing for carrying a developer; a pair of upright portions arranged on another end portion of the casing at an interval from each other in the axial direction of the developer carrier to extend from another end portion of the casing in a detaching direction for the developer cartridge; and an elastically deformable coupling portion extending in the axial direction of the developer carrier for coupling the upright portions with each other.

Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a control unit configured to be able to perform density adjustment control of forming a reference toner image for image density control on an image bearing member and changing a target value of a toner density based on an image density of the reference toner image detected by an image density detection unit. The control unit limits the target value of the toner density within a predetermined range, and changes frequency of execution of the density adjustment control based on the fact that the target value of the toner density is placed at a boundary value.
Toner container and image forming apparatus
A toner container detachably attached to a toner-container holder of a main body of an image forming apparatus includes a container body that includes an opening, and discharges toner contained in the container body, from the opening; and a held portion that is held by the toner-container holder in a non-rotating manner. The held portion includes an open/close member for opening/closing the toner outlet in synchronization with an attachment/detachment operation of the held portion to/from the toner-container holder.
