An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a development device, a fixing device, an apparatus main body, and a fan including a rotating shaft that extends in a longitudinal direction of the photosensitive drum and a blade around the rotating shaft. The development device develops a toner image on the photosensitive drum. The fixing device fixes the toner image from the photosensitive drum to a recording material. The apparatus main body is provided with a discharge port from which the toner-fixed recording material is discharged. A length of the fan rotating shaft in the longitudinal direction is longer than a diameter of a rotational trajectory of the blade. The fan is provided on a downstream side of the fixing device in a discharge direction in which the recording material is discharged from the discharge port and overlaps a part of the development device when viewed in a vertical direction.

An image forming apparatus includes a developer bearing member, a frame having a storage member, and a first temperature detection unit. The storage member is for storing a developer for the developer bearing member to record an image on a recording material. The storage member includes an attachment part in which a supply container enclosing a developer is removably attachable to the attachment part. With reference to a recording material conveyance path having a center in a width direction of the recording material that is orthogonal to a recording material conveyance direction and in a case where an area on one side of the conveyance path center is a first area and the area on the other side of the conveyance path center is a second area, the attachment part is arranged in the first area and the first temperature detection unit is arranged in the second area.

A powder transporting device includes: a circulation path that receives and accommodates a developer from multiple toner cartridges filled with the developer, and along which the accommodated developer is transported while circulating; a first supply port that allows the developer to be fed onto the circulation path; a transport path that merges with the circulation path at a portion of the circulation path upstream from the first supply port to allow the developer to be transported therealong into the circulation path; a second supply port through which the developer is fed to the transport path; a detector that detects the developer accommodated in the circulation path; a first transporter that transports the developer in the circulation path at a first transport speed; and a second transporter that extends along the transport path in the circulation path, and that transports the developer into the circulation path at a second transport speed higher than the first transport speed.

An image forming apparatus forms an image on a recording material and includes an apparatus body, a first process cartridge including a first photosensitive member and a first developing roller to supply first toner to the first photosensitive member, with the first process cartridge being detachably attached to the apparatus body, and a toner cartridge to accommodate the first toner and detachably attached to the apparatus body independently from the first process cartridge. A second process cartridge includes a second photosensitive member and a second developing roller to supply second toner to the second photosensitive member, with the second process cartridge being detachably attached to the apparatus body and configured not to be replenished with the second toner in a state where the second process cartridge is attached to the apparatus body.

A toner cartridge includes: a casing extending in a first direction; a toner conveying unit; a first cover; a shutter; a memory; and an electrical contact surface electrically connected to the memory. The casing includes a first toner accommodating portion having an opening. The first cover and the shutter are positioned at one end portion of the first toner accommodating portion in the first direction. The first cover has a discharge opening. The shutter has a shutter opening and a first protrusion extending in the first direction and positioned farther from the one end portion of the first toner accommodating portion than the first cover is in the first direction. When the toner cartridge is mounted to a developing device, the first protrusion is fixed in position relative to the developing device and the casing is pivotable together with the first cover relative to the developing device.

A toner container includes a toner discharge port and a shutter to open and close the toner discharge port. The shutter includes a shutter main portion and shutter deforming portions. Each of the shutter deforming portions includes a stopper and a stopper releaser. The stopper contacts a contact portion of the toner container to restrict a movement of the shutter in an opening direction. The stopper releaser receives an external force from below to displace the stopper upward to release a contact state of the stopper with the contact portion. The stopper releaser of one of the shutter deforming portions releases the contact state with the contact portion independently of another of the shutter deforming portions. When the contact state of the stopper with the contact portion is released in all of the shutter deforming portions, restriction of the movement of the shutter in the opening direction is released.

A toner cartridge includes a first casing, a second casing, an auger screw, and a shutter. The first casing has a first internal space. The second casing has: a second internal space smaller than the first internal space; a first opening allowing toner in the second internal space to be discharged; and a second opening allowing air in the second internal space to be sent to an outside. The auger screw is rotatable about a first rotation axis and configured to convey toner in the first internal space to the second internal space. The shutter is rotatable relative to the second casing about a second rotation axis between a first position in which the shutter closes the first opening and a second position in which the shutter opens the first opening. In a state where the shutter is at the second position, the shutter does not close the second opening.

A toner discharging structure and a toner cartridge are provided. The toner discharging structure cooperatively couples with a cartridge body to form a toner cartridge used in an electronic imaging device. The toner discharging structure includes: an accelerating structure, blowing blades, a toner mixing unit, and a toner discharging unit. One end of the accelerating structure is connected to the cartridge body. The blowing blades are connected to another end of the accelerating structure to allow a rotation speed of the blowing blades greater than a rotation speed of the cartridge body. The toner mixing unit is connected to the cartridge body, for receiving wind generated by the blowing blades. The toner discharging unit includes a toner outlet connected to the toner mixing unit.

An image forming apparatus includes a process unit and a toner cartridge. The toner cartridge includes a cartridge housing having a first shutter and a second shutter. The process unit includes a conveying tube. The cartridge housing is movable between a first position and a second position. The first position is a position in which (a) the first shutter is positioned at a first open position, (b) the second shutter is positioned at a second open position, and (c) a second opening is aligned with the conveying tube in a second direction. The second position is a position in which (a) the first shutter is positioned at a first closed position, (b) the second shutter is positioned at a second closed position, (c) the second opening is spaced apart from the conveying tube, and (d) the toner cartridge is mountable and removable on and from the process unit.

An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, a first process cartridge including a first image bearing member and a first developing roller and detachably attached to the apparatus body, a toner cartridge configured to accommodate the first toner and detachably attached to the apparatus body independently from the first process cartridge, and a second process cartridge including a second image bearing member and a second developing roller and detachably attached to the apparatus body and configured not to be replenished with the second toner in a state where the second process cartridge is attached to the apparatus body.
